Tetrarch EA trades gold (XAUUSD) with four independent engines and one risk manager: a stop loss on every trade, a daily loss limit, no martingale and no grid.

Launch price: 99.99 USD for the first 20 copies. After that the price rises to 179 USD and keeps going up as the live track record grows.

Gold does not move the same way every day. Some days trend for hours, some stay in a range, and some pick a direction as soon as Europe opens. A single-idea robot wins in one of those markets and suffers in the others. Tetrarch runs four independent engines on XAUUSD and coordinates them with one risk manager.

The four engines

- Momentum: catches the start of fast intraday moves and aims for a target several times larger than the risk.

- Multi-day breakout: enters when gold breaks the high or low of recent days, aims for up to five times the risk and trails the stop behind the move. Closed before the weekend.

- Pullback: waits for a confirmed change in market structure and enters on the retracement instead of chasing the move. Protects the trade as it progresses.

- Session: follows the direction gold usually takes when European markets open. One trade per day at most, closed before the end of the session.

The engines win and lose at different times. Tetrarch also shifts risk between the engines that compete for the same kind of move.

Settings

Tetrarch needs only one setting. When you attach it to an XAUUSD chart, open the Inputs tab and choose a Profile:

- Own capital - Conservative: lower risk per trade.

- Own capital - Standard: the profile used in the backtests (default).

- Own capital - Aggressive: higher risk per trade and larger drawdowns.

- Prop firm account: for firms with a 4 % daily and 8 % total loss limit or wider.

Leave the other inputs at their default values.

Risk management

- Stop loss on every trade. No position is opened without one.

- Lot size calculated from your balance and the stop distance.

- Daily loss limit: when the day's loss plus open risk reaches the limit, no new trades until the next day.

- No martingale, no grid, no averaging down.

- Maximum holding time per trade. Breakout trades are closed on Friday.

Backtest results

MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, every tick based on real ticks, real spread and commission, XAUUSD, 10,000 USD deposit, Standard profile, no compounding.

- 2020–2023, Vantage data, with random execution delay: +18,699 USD, profit factor 1.15, maximum drawdown 20.7 %, 2,160 trades.

- 2024 to October 2026, FundedNext data: +39,390 USD, profit factor 1.47, maximum drawdown 11.0 %, 1,505 trades.

Backtests are simulations. Live results depend on your broker, spread, slippage, connection and server time, and can be worse. 2020–2023 was a harder period than 2024–2026.

Requirements

- MetaTrader 5, XAUUSD, any timeframe (the EA reads the timeframes it needs).

- Recommended capital: 5,000 USD or more on a standard account. With less, use a cent account.

- Low gold spread (a low-cost account type is recommended) and a VPS so the EA runs Monday to Friday without interruption.

- Hedging account. Use the EA on one chart per account.
