PrimeGrid TCI – Trend-Filtered Grid EA for MT5
PrimeGrid TCI waits for a confirmed trend before it opens its first trade, then manages the position as a grid. If price moves against the entry, the EA adds orders at a fixed distance. After the first five orders it increases the lot size by a multiplier, so a smaller pullback can bring the whole basket back to profit. All orders are closed together by a profit trailing stop measured in your account currency.
Risk disclosure
PrimeGrid TCI uses grid and lot-multiplication (martingale-type) techniques. It has no stop loss and no maximum-loss exit. Lot sizes grow quickly after the 6th order. A long one-directional move can use up your free margin and cause a large loss or a margin call. Use a deposit that suits your settings, limit the maximum number of orders and the maximum lot, and always test on a demo account first.
How it works
1. First entry: trend + momentum filter
- Trend is read from EMA 20 and EMA 40 on the signal timeframe (default M15).
- The gap between the two EMAs must exceed a fraction of ATR(60). This filters out flat, choppy markets.
- A Stochastic filter confirms timing:
- Buy: fast EMA above slow EMA by more than the ATR margin, %K above %D, and %K below 80
- Sell: fast EMA below slow EMA by more than the ATR margin, %K below %D, and %K above 20
2. Grid orders
- Once the first order is open, the entry filters no longer apply to that side.
- A new order is added each time price moves the grid step (default 500 points) against the last order.
- Orders 1 to 5 use the base lot.
- From order 6, each new order is the previous lot × the multiplier (default 1.5).
- On a hedging account, buy and sell grids can run at the same time, each started by its own signal.
3. Closing the basket
All open orders of the EA are treated as one basket, and profit is measured in account currency (including swap).
- One order open: trailing starts at 0.8 profit; the order closes at 5.0 profit.
- Two or more orders: trailing starts at 2.0; the basket closes at 10.0.
- Trailing: once started, the EA tracks the peak basket profit and closes everything if profit drops by the trailing step (default 0.3) from that peak.

Requirements and notes
- Hedging account recommended. On a netting account, only one side (buy or sell) can be open at a time.
- The EA manages only its own orders, identified by magic number. Manual trades and other EAs on the same symbol are not touched.
- Use a different magic number for each chart.
- Trailing values are in account currency. Adjust them if you change the base lot or trade a symbol with a different point value.
- Recommended: VPS and a low-spread broker.
- Past results, including backtests, do not guarantee future performance.
