Identify Swing Failures and Confirmed Structural Reversals
Intraday traders frequently encounter a costly market trap: initiating long positions as price breaks to a new swing high, only to watch the market immediately reverse, or selling at a new swing low right before price surges in the opposite direction. These price moves often represent liquidity sweeps that trigger breakout orders and stop losses before price reverses. Traders entering without structural confirmation often face predictable drawdown from these false expansions.
SwingFailurePattern is engineered to identify these inflection points directly on the chart. It detects when price reaches a new swing extreme and fails to sustain acceptance beyond that level, signaling that directional momentum has exhausted and a structural reversal is underway. Instead of reacting to unconfirmed breakout attempts, traders receive objective visual validation once the failure is confirmed. Low-conviction extensions and consolidation noise are filtered out, providing a structured chart environment focused on high-probability reversal phases.

- Price tests below a prior swing low, fails to hold acceptance, and reclaims key structural levels.
- A dominant bullish expansion candle confirms buyer control and upward reversal momentum.
- The indicator confirms the swing failure and displays a buy signal arrow.
- The signal confirms strictly upon the close of the setup candle, using the open of the subsequent bar as the execution reference.
Visual SELL Confirmation:
- Price tests above a prior swing high, fails to hold acceptance, and reclaims key structural levels to the downside.
- A dominant bearish expansion candle confirms seller control and downward reversal momentum.
- The indicator confirms the swing failure and displays a sell signal arrow.
- The signal confirms strictly upon the close of the setup candle, using the open of the subsequent bar as the execution reference.
Structural Stop Loss Placement:
- The indicator automatically projects a protective Stop Loss reference positioned outside the recent structural swing extreme.
- A configurable volatility buffer provides additional distance beyond key pivots to accommodate normal spread variations and short-term market noise.

The indicator projects four structured risk-to-reward (R-multiple) levels:
- TP1 (0.5R): Initial objective configured for early partial scale-outs on immediate momentum follow-through.

- Requires a minimum R-distance before the next signal can trigger.

A built-in panel summarizes how signals performed on historical data for the current settings:
- Historical hit-rate breakdown across TP1, TP2, TP3, and TP4.
- Sample size shown for the configured lookback period.
- Highlights which TP level had the best historical hit-rate for that sample.
