The SigmaTau Index EA is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 designed for trading index CFDs. It combines an adaptive oscillator signal with optional grid management and various risk control modules. The system can be configured for symbols such as NAS100, SP500, and DJ30, depending on the broker's symbol names and contract specifications.
The EA reads market conditions through moving average, ATR, and internal oscillator calculations. Inputs can be based on oscillator arrows, state changes, or level conditions. The signal can be read from the current candle or a closed candle, according to the selected configuration.
The grid module is optional and configurable. It can use fixed lots, lot summation models, or a martingale-style multiplier. Grid spacing can be fixed in points or based on the ATR. The user can also define whether grid orders should respect spread filters, indicator, trading time, and day of the week.
Risk management is a central part of the configuration. The EA supports fixed lot trading, percentage-based lot sizing, maximum lot limits, monetary loss limits, percentage loss limits, maximum drawdown control, volatility-based lot scaling, and an optional Kelly Criterion-based sizing mode based on historical trades. These features are configurable and should be carefully tested before use.
Exit logic includes basket take-profit management, optional stop modes, average trailing stop, ATR-based trailing stop, break-even, oscillator-based exits, maximum trade duration, and Friday closing controls. The basket closing mode can use the first order or a weighted average price.
The SigmaTau Index EA also includes handy filters for spread, trading sessions, days of the week, ADX market regime, capital curve status, and economic calendar events. The news filter uses the MetaTrader economic calendar and can pause entries around high or medium impact events, according to the selected currencies. The chart panel displays the current status of the EA, spread, basket information, drawdown, filter status, lot sizing mode, and news filter status. The panel and chart theme can be enabled or disabled in the settings. This product does not guarantee trading results. Market conditions, broker execution, spreads, contract specifications, account leverage, and parameter choices can significantly affect performance. Test each setting in the Strategy Tester and on a demo account before using it on a real account.

The SigmaTau Index EA was developed for index CFDs. The included configuration files can be used as a starting point for NAS100 H1, SP500 H1, and DJ30 H1, but symbol names and contract specifications vary between brokers. Check the spread, tick value, tick size, minimum lot, maximum lot, and margin requirements before trading.
First, run a backtest with a single symbol. After that, test the selected configuration on a demo account, under the same broker conditions planned for use in a real account. Use conservative risk values when testing new symbols or new parameter sets.
