Attached is an indicator that has three MAs and should give an alert when the two faster MAs cross but use the third MA as a filter (only cross up if above third, only cross down if below the third). The indicator works partially now but will not give any alerts or emails. If anyone could take a look it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Current thread is for alerts.

The thread about MA crosses: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/general

Moving average thread: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/173235

Can someone help me here? I have trouble to add EMA (100) to Momentum indicator and also EMA (20) to StochRSI indicator. Please assist me. Thank you.

You need to drop the standard moving average (see picture as guide) on the indicator and select previous indicators data (see picture as guide).

Unfortunately, I don't have the *.mq4 file for my custom indicator because i bought it from a company and they only gave me the compiled file (.ex4) for the indicator. If i attach the *.ex4 file could someone modify it or reprogram it and give me an audible alert for it? Many thanks!

No because you need the source code to insert the alert code.

Just make a separate indicator alert which call the signal ... I code alerts each day like this for my clients who don't have mq4 files. FerruFx

And how do you know when to display the signal without known the calculation?

Some example please?

Anyone remember where is the indicator for a Moving Average that has slope-colored?

So if the slope is down, it colored in red, if up colored in green, color isnt a matter, just to show if the MA is up or down.

Im lost in this big site....

thanks.

Hi all,

Has anyone got an indicator that colours the slopes of the W%R according to its steepness?

Say steep = red, flat = green and neither one nor t'other amber?

Many thanks

Brandoni

I think I saw one somewhere before for demark with alert.. maybe different indicator with similar name. linuxser: I found something interesting with xpMA. the MA doesn't update tick by tick. I put the same MA from MT4, and xpMA with same MA, period. the MT4's MA will update tick by tick, so for all the bars that are new, these 2 MAs are different. Unless I refresh everything, so xpMA will calculate on close.

Codersguru is the author. He decided to take that way when coded it.

Does anybody have or know where I might find a CCI 8 that alerts when the direction changes. Or could some one possibly code one?

Your indicator it's a renamed version of this one: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/177619

Thanks Linuxser but the indicator listed there doesn't have an alert. Do you know where I might find one?

With the attach tool try to download from current thread the indicator named as the original but with a size of 3.2kb because that one have alert on the code as I see:

if (cci >= 0 )

cciHup = cci;

else

cciHup = 0;

if(cciHup == 0 && alertTag!=Time[0]) {Alert("FX Sniper T3 Trend Up on ",Symbol()," Period ",Period());alertTag = Time[0];}

if (cci < 0 )

cciHdn = cci;

else

cciHdn=0;

if(cciHdn == 0 && alertTag!=Time[0]) {Alert("FX Sniper T3 Trend Down on ",Symbol()," Period ",Period());alertTag = Time[0];}
