How ATM GBPUSD Robot trades
The EA trades one market it knows well, GBP/USD on M15, and works in baskets:
- Trend filter. Two moving averages (108 and 254) set the direction, and it only trades with the trend. In the one-year backtest it opened 1,288 buys and 1,148 sells.
- Entry. A small first position when the signal lines up and the spread is below the limit (6 pips by default).
- Adding. If price moves 10 pips, it adds a larger position, which improves the basket's average price.
- Exit. The whole basket closes together at a 10-pip profit target, usually within hours.
That is where the high win rate comes from: price doesn't need to run far, only come back a few pips.

Passed a $200,000 FTMO Challenge
In July–August 2023 the EA passed every objective of a $200,000 FTMO Challenge: +$25,369.97 (+12.68%) against a $20,000 target, a worst day of −1.88% (limit −5%) and a maximum loss of −1.15% (limit −10%). Prop-firm rules change, so check your firm's current rules on averaging strategies before you start.

Settings: choose how hard it pushes
Two inputs control almost everything: Lots (the first position) and lots_limit (the largest position it may add). The live account above runs deliberately aggressive settings. For most traders we recommend the backtested ones:
| Setting | Recommended for $1,000 | Live account (aggressive) |
|---|---|---|
| Lots | 0.01 | 0.10 |
| lots_limit | 0.09 | 3.00 |
| TP_pips | 10 | 10 |
| equity_stop | true | false |
| Stop_Loss_percent | 20–30 | – |
Scale the lots with your balance: $2,000 = 0.02 / 0.18, and so on.

Know the risks before you start
- No stop-loss on each trade. Protection comes from the equity stop (equity_stop = true), which closes everything if the account falls by the percentage you set. Turn it on.
- Averaging. The EA adds to a losing basket. If GBP/USD keeps running without pulling back, the loss grows with each position. Your lot sizes and equity stop decide how much you can lose.
- Aggressive settings magnify everything. Start with the recommended settings.
- Weekends. Baskets can stay open over the weekend, when price can gap at Monday's open.
Past results, live or backtested, do not guarantee future results.
Who it is for
- Traders who want a fully automated GBP/USD system with a published live track record.
- Traders who value a high win rate and fast-closing baskets, and accept an averaging approach.
- Accounts of $200 or more ($1,000+ to use the standard settings).
Frequently asked questions
What does it trade?
Only GBP/USD on M15, on MetaTrader 4. Attach it to one chart and it runs by itself.
Are the live results verified?
Yes. The real RoboForex account is tracked by Myfxbook, which reads the trades directly from the broker.
What is the minimum deposit?
$200 to start with small lots; $1,000+ for the recommended settings.
Does it use a stop-loss?
Not per trade. Set equity_stop = true and Stop_Loss_percent to your maximum acceptable loss (we suggest 20–30%).
Can I use it with other EAs?
Yes. It only manages its own trades, identified by its magic number.
