I remember a trade where I wasn’t even fully focused. I had charts open, but I was also on my phone, replying to messages, checking random things. A setup appeared and I took it almost automatically… like a reflex. No real thinking behind it. It felt normal in the moment.

Breakouts look like opportunity, but most of them are engineered traps. Price pushes beyond a key level, pulling in traders who think the move is starting — but that move is often just liquidity being collected.
Once enough traders are in, the market reverses sharply, leaving them trapped on the wrong side. That’s not failure — that’s design.
The shift is simple:
Don’t trade the breakout — trade what happens after it fails.
