There was a time I couldn’t sit through a quiet market. If nothing was moving, I felt like I was wasting time. So I’d force trades… random entries, weak setups, anything just to feel active. I’d tell myself, “I’ll just grab a quick one.” But those “quick ones” always turned into unnecessary losses. At the end of the day, I wasn’t tired from trading… I was tired from fighting the market.
What I didn’t understand back then is that not trading is part of trading. The best days I have now are often the ones where I do nothing for hours. I wait, I watch, and I let the market come to me. A Break of Structure happens when price clearly breaks a key level and confirms a shift in market direction. This is not just any breakout — it’s a signal that control has moved from buyers to sellers, or vice versa.
The key is confirmation. A valid BOS requires a strong close beyond the level, not just a quick spike or wick. Many traders get trapped by fake breakouts, but smart traders wait for structure to truly shift before entering.

I used to jump from one strategy to another every few weeks. One week it was support and resistance, then ICT, then indicators, then price action… every time I saw someone online making money, I felt like I was missing something. So I’d switch. Start fresh. Feel excited again. And then… same result.
Looking back, the problem was obvious. I never stayed long enough to actually get good at anything. I was always in the “learning phase,” never in the “mastery phase.” The market didn’t confuse me — I confused myself. The moment things got hard, I escaped instead of improving. The only thing that changed everything was boring consistency. One system, same rules, repeated again and again until it became automatic. That’s when things finally started to make sense.
