THIS EA WAS CREATED WITH GOLD RECENT MARKETS
Nine independent breakout strategies orbiting one engine on a single XAUUSD chart — each with its own magic number, its own timeframe and its own trading hours. Every distance the EA uses rescales itself to gold's current price level, and a two-stage exit engine manages each trade from entry to close. No grid. No martingale. No averaging. Every position carries a real stop loss from the moment it opens.
What it is
The Gold Orbit runs nine separate breakout strategies side by side on a single XAUUSD chart. They share one engine but nothing else — each one has its own magic number, its own timeframe, its own swing-detection window, its own take profit and its own trading sessions. You can switch any of them on or off independently, so the EA can be run as a nine-strategy portfolio or narrowed down to the two or three that suit your account.
Each strategy works the same way. It scans back over its own timeframe for a swing high and a swing low that still stand unbroken and sit far enough from current price to matter. When it finds them, it arms a Buy Stop just under the high and a Sell Stop just over the low. Price then decides which side fills. Orders that go stale expire on their own.
Because the nine strategies read different timeframes and different swing depths, they rarely all trigger together — which is the point. Some are built to catch the fast intraday move; others sit on the daily chart and wait weeks for one order.
Price-adaptive sizing
Gold at 1,800 and gold at 4,000 are not the same market, and a breakout distance that made sense at one is meaningless at the other. Every entry offset, minimum swing distance and take profit in The Gold Orbit is rescaled on every trade against the previous daily open. The EA re-tunes itself as the market's price level drifts, so settings that worked two years ago still hold their proportions today. The stop loss is the one deliberate exception — it stays exactly where you set it, in points, so you always know your worst case.
The exit engine
Exits are not a single fixed take profit. Each position moves through stages:
- Break-even lift. Once the trade clears its first profit threshold, the stop is pulled just past the entry price and the target is set. From that point the trade cannot become a full loss.
- Lock and trail. In Auto mode each strategy applies its own locking distance and its own trailing distance — tuned per strategy, not one setting shared across all nine — so a fast H1 breakout is trailed tighter than a daily runner. In Manual mode you supply your own break-even trigger and trail distance and the EA follows those instead.
- Failed-breakout exit. A small AI model is set, It even learns.
Stops only ever move in the favourable direction. They never widen.
News protection that works in the tester
Most news filters call out to a web feed, which means they need a URL whitelisted, they break when the feed goes down, and they do nothing at all in the Strategy Tester — so your backtest and your live account behave differently.
The Gold Orbit carries its own release calendar compiled into the EA. FOMC rate decisions, the US jobs report and US CPI dates for 2024–2026 are built in, taken from the published Fed and BLS schedules, including the 2025 government shutdown reschedules. Release times are derived from US Eastern with daylight saving handled automatically, and the broker's own GMT offset is detected at startup. No internet connection, no WebRequest permission, no configuration — and a backtest blocks exactly the same bars a live account would.
FOMC blocking is on by default. The jobs report and CPI are separate switches, off by default, because a breakout system often benefits from that volatility rather than being hurt by it.
Risk controls
- One stop loss setting shared by all nine strategies, applied to every order as it is placed — never added afterwards.
- Three lot modes: Fixed Lot, Lot Per Balance (one 0.01 step for every X of balance) and Risk Percent (the EA prices your stop through the broker and sizes so the loss is exactly the percentage you asked for).
- Maximum daily drawdown in percent or account currency. When it triggers, the EA flattens and stands down until the next day.
- Spread filter, slippage cap, free-margin check, per-strategy caps on open positions and pending orders.
- Automatic 2-digit and 3-digit broker handling. A 500-point stop is the same distance on both.
On-chart dashboard
A live orbital panel shows balance and equity, run state, current session, news status, and a row per strategy with its open positions, pending orders and net contribution — so you can see at a glance which strategies are carrying the account and which are idle. DPI-aware, resizable, and switchable off. A candle colour theme is included with five presets.
Recommended setup
| Symbol | XAUUSD (any broker suffix) |
| Timeframe | The EA reads its own timeframes internally |
| Account | Hedging, ECN / raw spread |
| Minimum deposit | 200 USD at 0.01 fixed lot |
| Leverage | 1:100 or higher |
| VPS | Recommended, low latency to your broker |
Set your lot mode first and check the Experts log on attach — the EA prints what one full lot would lose at your stop loss, and what size it will trade. Confirm that number matches what you expect before going live.
Please read before buying
- Past performance in a backtest does not predict future results. Test on your own broker, with your own spread and commission, on real tick data at 99% modelling quality, before risking money.
- All nine strategies can hold positions at the same time. Risk Percent is per trade, not per account — size accordingly.
- This EA does not use grid, martingale or averaging, so it takes real losses. A stop loss that gets hit is the system working as designed, not a fault.
- Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of losing your capital. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose.
