Overview
Shuriken Scalper XAU is an institutional scalping Expert Advisor specifically designed to trade the XAU/USD pair (spot gold) on the M5 timeframe. It combines market structure analysis with multiple technical confluence filters, aimed at identifying high-probability zones where the price has "swept" liquidity before continuing its true direction.
Core Strategy
The core of the system is the detection of Liquidity Sweeps and Fair Value Gaps (FVG), concepts derived from institutional flow analysis (Smart Money Concepts). The EA identifies candles with pronounced wicks that indicate the price triggered stop-loss orders by retail participants and enters in the opposite direction of the sweep once the zone's mitigation is confirmed.
This logic is complemented by three additional price action patterns: engulfing, inside bars, and range breakouts, all filtered by the same technical confirmation stack.
Confirmation Filters (Full Stack)
For a signal to be executed, it must pass four simultaneous filters:
ADX (Average Directional Index) — Validates that the market has an active trend with a minimum of 25 points, further differentiating the direction by the crossover of +DI and -DI.
WVAP with Deviation Bands — Filters positions based on the price position relative to the volume-weighted average price and its statistical bands, preventing entries in overextended zones.
Balance of Power (BOP) — A manually calculated indicator on OHLC that measures the net control between buyers and sellers. It only allows buys with a positive BOP and sells with a negative BOP, smoothed with a 14-period moving average.
Chaikin Oscillator — Analyzes the flow of money (accumulation vs. distribution) and requires active momentum in the direction of the trade, blocking entries against volume pressure.
Risk Management
The EA includes a three-layer risk management system:
Dynamic position sizing based on a percentage of the balance (default 1% per trade), with a recommended lot size of 0.10 to 0.20 for accounts starting at $1,000 USD.
Adjustable Stop Loss of 20 pips and Take Profit of 60 pips (minimum ratio 1:2 in Turbo mode).
Automatic Break Even triggered at 10 pips of profit.
Trailing Stop triggered at 8 pips with a 4-pip step.
Configurable daily loss limit (default 10% of the balance).
Minimum free margin control (50%) and maximum simultaneous volume.

Turbo Mode
The system includes a Turbo Mode (activated by default) that reduces the analysis lookback to 5 candles, applies a lot multiplier of ×1.5 and increases slippage tolerance, increasing trading frequency in high-momentum markets, such as the London and New York sessions where gold exhibits greater volatility.
