Phoenix Range Indicator v6 is a multi-timeframe tool designed to track and display price ranges for XAUUSD (Gold).
Core Functionality
Range Detection: It identifies the highest and lowest price points over specific time intervals (e.g., 1-minute, 1-hour, or 4-hour ranges).
Timeframe-Specific Toggles: It uses a dashboard with checkboxes (like the chk_1 for 1m and chk_4H for 4-hour) to allow you to turn the visibility of different range levels on or off.
Visual Levels: The indicator plots horizontal lines representing support and resistance boundaries derived from these ranges. These lines serve as key zones for breakout or mean-reversion strategies.
Technical Design Characteristics
Composite UI: The indicator uses the MQL5 Standard Library to create a functional dashboard. The checkboxes you are interacting with are made of two distinct layers: a clickable "tick" square and a text label background.
Custom Styling: It employs a "Black Background Hack" where labels are styled with clrBlack backgrounds and clrRed or clrYellow text to make them stand out on high-contrast charts.
Operational Logic
When the 1m range is enabled, the indicator likely calculates the (High - Low) of the current or previous 1-minute candle and projects those levels forward as horizontal lines. These are used by scalpers to identify "fair value" or potential areas where price may stall or reverse.
