DailyOpeningPortfolioEA is a trading robot for MetaTrader 5 that brings together four trading instruments in a single installation: gold, silver, the S&P 500 and the Russell 2000.
Each instrument has its own settings and operates independently. You can enable all four assets or select only those you want to monitor, while managing them within the same account.
How it works
The strategy combines directional movements from previous trading days with price pullback conditions. A daily average price reference and a volatility filter help select trading opportunities.
Entries are evaluated at the start of a new trading day, based on the broker’s server time. When the conditions are met, the EA may open a buy or sell position in the direction determined by the strategy. A trade will not necessarily occur every day.
Orders are submitted with a protective stop loss and a take profit target. After a favorable price movement, the EA may move the stop toward the entry price or to a level on the profitable side of the entry price, according to each instrument’s internal rules. Positions may remain open for more than one trading session.
The EA can hold one position per symbol at a time. Different instruments may have open positions simultaneously, provided sufficient margin is available.
Benefits
-
Four markets in one EA: monitor the instruments in your portfolio from a single EA instance in MetaTrader 5.
-
Individual settings for each instrument: each instrument uses predefined rules tailored to its characteristics.
-
Simple interface: configure symbol names, lot sizes and the risk profile. The strategy settings are already built into the product.
-
Instrument selection: enable or disable instruments without installing additional trading robots.
-
Automatic position sizing: automatic mode recalculates the volume before each entry based on the account balance, the distance to the stop loss and the symbol’s specifications.
-
No grid or martingale: the EA does not use order grids or increase lot sizes with the aim of recovering a previous loss.
Fixed lot size and risk profiles
In Fixed lot size mode, each instrument uses the volume specified in its lot size field.
In automatic mode, the EA attempts to size each trade so that the estimated loss at the stop loss corresponds to the selected profile: Low: 4%; Medium: 8%; High: 13%; Extra High: 21% of the account balance.
Position size follows changes in the account balance, subject to available margin and the symbol’s volume limits. It may increase as the balance grows and decrease as the balance falls.
These percentages are targets per trade, not a limit on total portfolio risk. When the calculated volume is below the minimum permitted lot size, the EA uses the minimum lot, provided sufficient margin is available. In that case, the effective risk may exceed the selected percentage. The estimated loss at the stop does not include commissions, swaps or slippage, and simultaneous positions add to the overall exposure.
Input parameters
Common settings
-
Magic number: identifies the EA’s trades and is shared by all four instruments. It helps distinguish its trades from those placed by other systems.
-
Risk target: selects Fixed lot size mode or one of the four automatic risk profiles described above.
Instrument settings

-
SILVER — Fixed lot size: the silver trading volume used in fixed lot mode. Default: 0.01.
-

Fixed lot sizes for all enabled instruments must comply with the broker’s minimum volume, maximum volume and permitted volume increments. An invalid lot size prevents initialization. In automatic mode, the Fixed lot size fields are ignored.
Setup and compatibility
Attach a single instance of the EA to any chart and check the symbol names in Market Watch. Each instrument’s strategy uses its own internal timeframes, independently of the symbol and timeframe of the chart to which the EA is attached.
The original configuration was developed and tested using ActivTrades contracts. Other brokers may have different symbol names, decimal precision, point values and permitted lot sizes. Changing the symbol name alone does not guarantee equivalent behavior.
Keep MetaTrader 5 connected, with algorithmic trading enabled, so the EA can evaluate new entries and manage protective stop adjustments. Before trading on a live account, check its operation in the Strategy Tester and on a demo account under your broker’s trading conditions.
Trading involves the risk of loss. Historical results do not guarantee future results.
