Market Desk — Multi-Timeframe Market Verdict
Market Desk is a read-only analysis tool for MetaTrader 5 that combines multi-timeframe analysis with the global context of Market Watch to provide a structured view of current market conditions. It analyzes the chart symbol across D1, H4, H1, M30, and M15, giving greater weight to higher timeframes. It also examines eligible Market Watch symbols to assess general market pressure and, where applicable, relative currency strength and directional alignment.
What does Market Desk offer?
- Market Verdict: Identifies bullish, bearish, or sideways (range) conditions, and highlights transitional situations and divergences between market structures.
- Multi-Timeframe Analysis: Combines five timeframes into a single weighted reading.
- Global Market Context: Evaluates information from other available symbols to identify directional backing, divergences, or neutral conditions.
- Visual Interpretation: Displays a color-coded distribution of bullish, range, and bearish readings, accompanied by contextual labels.
- Market Condition Details: Identifies situations such as corrective pullbacks, narrow margins between verdicts, balanced ranges, and incomplete market data.
Quick Guide to Interpreting the Verdict
The verdict summarizes the combined reading of market conditions:
- BULLISH: The reading favors an upward directional context.
- BEARISH: The reading favors a downward directional context.
- RANGE: The analysis identifies conditions consistent with movement inside a sideways band.
- TRANSITION: There is insufficient directional dominance or clear evidence of a defined range.
- READING: The tool is processing initial data or updating the reading.
The percentage accompanying the verdict indicates what proportion of the composite reading corresponds to that condition. The color bar represents the distribution among bullish, range, and bearish scenarios: green for bullish, amber for range, and red for bearish.
Important: These percentages are not probabilities of price continuing in a given direction. Nor does a predominant verdict guarantee that the market will maintain that condition.
How to Interpret the Global Context
Global context messages complement the chart analysis:
- Global confirms: The context of the other analyzed symbols supports the chart's direction.
- Global diverges: The global context presents an opposing orientation.
- Global bid / Global offer: Upward or downward global pressure is detected, respectively.
- Global flat: No clear global directional pressure is identified.
- No global read: There is insufficient data to generate a valid global reading.
The availability and meaning of these messages depend on the data and conditions detected during the analysis.
How is the Percentage Calculated?
Market Desk combines several layers of analysis to build its final reading:
1. Chart Multi-Timeframe Analysis
Evaluates five timeframes with the following weights:
- D1: 30%
- H4: 25%
- H1: 20%
- M30: 14%
- M15: 11%
Each timeframe analyzes price structure, momentum, indicator alignment, and evidence of sideways conditions. The results are combined according to their weights, utilizing the timeframes that have valid data available.
2. Global Context Integration
The chart reading is combined with the context of eligible Market Watch symbols. By default, the chart accounts for 64% of the overall weighting, and the market context contributes 36%. This split is configurable.
For currency pairs, the global analysis considers available information on the currencies involved to estimate relative pressure on the pair. Other instruments are evaluated according to their own category.
3. Verdict Distribution
The final calculation distributes the reading among three components:
- Bullish: Evidence favoring a bullish condition.
- Range: Evidence consistent with a sideways condition.
- Bearish: Evidence favoring a bearish condition.
The three percentages are normalized to sum to 100%. The verdict identifies the predominant condition according to Market Desk's classification rules.
What Does 62% Mean?
It means that 62% of the calculated distribution corresponds to that condition. It does not mean there is a 62% probability that the price will go up or down, nor does the result represent a historical win rate.
The percentages describe how the model's reading is distributed at that moment; they are not a statistical prediction of future price movement.
Designed for Informed Decision-Making
Market Desk helps traders understand the broader context surrounding the chart they are analyzing. It does not execute trades, open or close positions, or generate entry or exit signals. All trading decisions remain entirely in the user's hands.
