Diamonds Are Forever EA - an Algorithmic Hybrid Utility (AHU)
Diamonds Are Forever (DAF) it's a multi-strategy Expert Advisor for the MetaTrader 5 platform. It features three strategies: Diamonds Are Forever (based on Renko chart methods), Moneily Speaking, and B&C (Boom & Crash). At the moment of this update, DAF only reflects the further carrying of functions and concepts already scoped quite some time ago. Never the less, this shouldn't suggest that the current update will be definitive (we still have some i's to dot and some t's to cross).
This version of the EA covers the following features:
— Visually —
- Four beautiful palettes for a clear mind when trading.
- A nostalgic Frutiger Aero Windows 7 inputs pop-up
— Moneily Speaking, i.e. Risk Management —
- Configurable sessions. Includes : New York, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Frankfurt, and the New York - London overlap (NYLON for short).
- Configurable weekly schedule.
- Friday-close kill-switch
- Comprehensive options for managing risk. *Includes Martingale and Inverse Martingale, for those who feel comfort in them*
- Maximum daily loss
- Multiple lot sizing and risk options suitable for multi-currency / multi-ea traders.

— Trading Methods —
- Mode I: Renko-based trading logic for noiseless interpretation of the markets when choppy, and filtered through a Quantitative Bloch Gate for added confluence. For truly noiseless execution, we recommend setting the size of the Renko as Fixed, or as Dynamic. In case you're wondering: Fixed size Renko means that each Block (Renko in Japanese) is set to a value in points. A Renko always has two parameters: upper and lower, comparable to the high and low of your regular candlestick. A bullish Renko is only plotted if its lower rises above the previous Renko's upper. Conversely, a bearish Renko is only plotted when its upper falls below the previous Renko's lower. Thus, during a choppy market collared by a support and a resistance level, no Renko it's plotted unless it breaks by the whole chosen size either side, hence its "noiseless" atribute; market can range for weeks on end but no trade will be placed unless price breaks either side significantly. In the Dynamic mode, size is calculated in function of the chosen fixed but it is adapted to the timeframe of the current chart. This is because not every Renko size it's applicable to every timeframe due to distortion in size. A 100pts Renko will generate clean interpretation on the H1, but on the M1 will look noisy due to MTF candlestick conversion. An entry price would not display accurately to the current conditions of the chart and may not make the most out of each trade, for there would be a huge gap between the taken exit and the previous high / low which produces a waste of tradable space. The Dynamic sizing mode uses Fibonacci values and their decimal multiples to optimally reduce this gap thereby making the most possible out of each trade. It is in treating this matter that it was decided to develop the indicator which is counter-part to this EA. It behaves not only as an artifact with some aesthetic emphasis but also as a technical tool for comparative analysis.
- Mode II: [Moneily Speaking] : High Frequency range-breakout & inwards scalation (RBIS) executed on the M1 chart. It features four modes of Lot Sizing : Fixed, by Equity percentage, by Balance percentage, and by Free Margin percentage. The stop loss default value is 10 points but you can set it as tight as your broker allows. We recommend the use of a VPS, a ECN / Raw Spread broker, and the disablement of any visual objects in chart for enhanced performance. Best execution is achieved during high-volume periods such as the NYLON overlap.
- Mode III: [B&C] : Specific for Boom & Crash assets, such as the Boom 1000 Index; this strategy derails from the predictive approach of most Boom & Crash engines and instead it chooses a simpler behaviour: If the market goes down by this many points I will place this many pending orders. If a spike of this much in average size occurs and fills all pending orders I will hold them on to profit and I will close them at the appearance of the first opposite candle. Otherwise, I'll just wait. This strategy it's best optimised for the M1 chart and a VPS is recommended for 24/7 functioning. It also implements an optional margin management feature which blocks the opening of trades when margin is below 150%.
So, this is it for now. If you have any doubts regarding the functioning of DAF-AHU v3.43 please feel free to reach us in chat. Specific set files for each strategy will be issued some time soon.
