also slick alert indy

FatherJack:
Well... I'd say, too short MAs for trading 1HR chart. The move on the screen Sep 4 is hard NOT to catch by any indy. BUT - the same or similar setup on the 15min for minitrend and 5min for entry, plus some gimmicks like Stoch wrapped in envelopes will make it look pretty. And I'm not talking scalping, these are some solid pips! Hm... picture too small after download, don't know why...

Well, the shorter the timeframe, the more noise inside. I only like 4 H and big solid pips.

fxbs:
well - that's what purpose of all systems - just do it Father, try this way to put pict.: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/178820

Yes, sir, my point was just that it does not make much sense to illustrate a system with a pic of one single trend, I mean, 600 pips straight in 6 hours.... And I missed it

I don't know, the png pic I uploaded looked full screen... anyway, will give it another try to illustrate that MAs on a short timeframe are real money makers using a volatile currency. ServerUang's picture was very close to what I used before I moved to lower TF's. I wish I could get a joint signal for all these little ones

Nice little trend, have you got it?

Matter of style and preference, BUT a currency like Eur(or Gbp, but I'm scared of it )/Jpy move so much during the day both ways, so I feel sorry to pick up only the pips in one direction. I mean, Sep 5 was a consolidation and retracement for EJ, and you still could accumulate 200-350 pips, look at my prev. post. While going long term.... you don't really go anywhere far on a 4 hr that day... IMHO, of course, maybe I don't see something, but I really don't.

good idea, FJ

if you use momentum cross 100 - try ancored momentum - much (at least twice) less false bumps https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/176430

btw - good discussion about it going on now in this thread: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/general (name funny but discussin is interesting)

Been there, seen the Holy Grail (actually, many of'em)

Thanks for the anchored momentum suggestion, will definitely give it a try.

Who can make this indy out - MultiSSRCplusSM.mq4 ? It does repaint, but when I visually tested it with a snapshot tool on 1hr TF, there has really not been too many repaints (only complete bars were snapshot to ignore developing bars repainting). This is the one from the "too good to be true types"... But I can't find where the trick is. You need all four, I guess to make it work.

Going back to the thread topic - a signal for histo colour change I DO NOT REQUEST. But I am not really opposed to the idea, either!

considering higher TF confirmation (color change) drown one 4hTF bar earlier(4 1H bars) (should be after higher TF bar close(and set color) and Snake SSR redraws ("readjusting") 2-3 previous bars constantly and more - if needed (no matter HardCalc true or false)- i expected it to paint much better picture and much less false signals ...

well, anyway, there is no way to tell where those values been in real time before 2-3and more bars been redrown to fit "perfect picture" later (well, the best it can), so...

FJ, you can just replace all that signals with Supersignals ...

Well, you totally lost me on this one, fxbs, but what I gather from your post is that the indy is not worth much.... I don't know, as I said, I've made screenshots of every bar since Jan this year and it looked nice with just a little repainting.... too nice maybe. So I never used it in real.

Anyway, 30 minutes till FX opens, have good pips this week!

well, FJ, may be in real time it more stable, - on tester it just more visible (condensed)

though, as you see - not everything is that simple as it seems from first glance; some of this indis may be might give you a bit more edge but would require more experience, more risk and aggravation...would it wort it?

as you said before: "The move ... is hard NOT to catch by any indy".
