In short
- Gold Beaver has new scalper presets that trade in a similar way to two popular gold scalpers: UBS (Ultimate Breakout System, "Scalp C" set) and Ghost Scalper.
- They trade very similar to the originals: 99.8% (UBS) and 97.4% (Ghost) of trades at the same time and price.
- Our improved version, UBS Scalp C Plus, grew about 10 times more than the original UBS at the same risk.
- But we do NOT recommend the scalpers yet: 2025 was weak, and trades last only seconds, so a little slippage takes most of the profit. The standard Gold Beaver presets are the smoother choice (section 7).
- Optional update: version 5.57 only adds new presets. All existing Gold Beaver presets trade exactly as before, so you do not need to change anything.
Words used in this post
- Real ticks: the tester replays every price change the broker recorded. It is the slow but honest test. Scalpers must be tested this way.
- Drawdown: how far the account falls from its last high.
- Same risk: we give every EA the lot size that makes its biggest drop exactly 15% over the same period (January 2025 - October 2026). Then we can compare growth fairly.
- Slippage: when your order is filled at a worse price than the EA asked for. On fast gold moves this happens often.
1. What these scalpers do
They watch the last clear high and low of gold on the 1-hour chart. When the price breaks out, they jump in and follow the move with a tight trailing stop. Every trade has a stop-loss and take-profit. No grid, no martingale.
Most trades last only seconds. That matters later.
2. Our own versions trade like the originals
We built two Gold Beaver presets in the same style as UBS Scalp C and Ghost Scalper, and ran them next to the original EAs: same MT5 tester, same broker data, real ticks from January 2025 to October 2026.

| UBS Scalp C | Ghost Scalper | |
|---|---|---|
| Trades at the same time and price as the original | 99.8% | 97.4% |
Key point: the Gold Beaver presets trade very similar to the originals.
3. UBS and Ghost Scalper often take the same trade

Two out of three UBS trades are also Ghost Scalper trades. Both EAs look at the same highs and lows, so they often enter on the same breakout.
Key point: running both on one account is mostly the same bet twice.
4. Our improved version: UBS Scalp C Plus
UBS Scalp C Plus keeps the UBS-style rules and adds three things:
- a second order on the same levels, $1 closer;
- a third order on the 30-minute chart, with the same rules;
- a trailing stop that adapts: wider after a busy day, tighter after a quiet day.
Every order trades at full size. We kept each change only if it helped in 2025 AND in 2026.

Starting with $10,000, all at the same 15% max drawdown, January 2025 - October 2026:
| Max drawdown | Ended with | Worst month | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original UBS Scalp C | 15.0% | $33,400 | -7.9% |
| Original Ghost Scalper | 15.0% | $74,800 | -10.2% |
| Gold Beaver UBS Scalp C Plus | 15.0% | $338,700 | -7.4% |

Key point: about 10 times the growth of the original UBS, with a similar worst month. But look at 2025: small gains and several losing months. Almost all the growth came in 2026.
5. The scalper presets in Gold Beaver
Version 5.57 adds three scalper presets. It is an optional update: it does not change any existing Gold Beaver preset.
- UBS Scalp C: trades in the same style as the original UBS "Scalp C" set. One order per side.
- UBS Scalp C Plus: UBS Scalp C plus the two extra orders and the adaptive trailing stop. The strongest of the three.
- Ghost Scalper: trades in the same style as the original Ghost Scalper. Eight different breakout rules.
Yellow names in the EA: in the Gold Beaver panel and in Strategy Rank these scalper presets are shown in yellow. Yellow means: very short trades, results can be hurt by slippage - use them carefully, ideally on a demo account or a very small lot.
6. We also tried combining them
We tested UBS Scalp C Plus and Ghost Scalper together on one account. It was not better than UBS Scalp C Plus alone: it grew less and had bigger losing months. So it is not included.
7. Standard Gold Beaver presets
For comparison, here are two standard Gold Beaver presets, Combo Safe and GOLD ALL, in the same test: real ticks, January 2025 - October 2026, $10,000. Every book is sized so that its biggest drop over exactly this period is 15.0%. For the slippage rows we keep that same lot and make every fill worse - the table shows how far the drawdown then grows.

| Combo Safe | GOLD ALL | UBS Scalp C Plus | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Max drawdown | 15.0% | 15.0% | 15.0% |
| Ended with | $231,300 | $289,800 | $338,700 |
| 2025 | +407% | +566% | +48% |
| 2026 (to 24 Oct) | +357% | +335% | +2,190% |
| Green months | 82% | 86% | 82% |
| Worst month | -6.0% | -4.8% | -7.4% |
| Longest time below a previous high | 77 days | 66 days | 53 days |
| Average time in a trade | 5.3 hours | 5.9 hours | 5 minutes (half under 20 seconds) |
| With $0.10 slippage on every fill | $208,600 (drawdown 15.4%) | $258,000 (15.5%) | $127,400 (18.4%) |
| With $0.30 slippage on every fill | $169,600 (drawdown 16.4%) | $204,500 (16.5%) | $18,000 (59.7%) |
What this shows, plainly:
- Without slippage, UBS Scalp C Plus ends a little higher than the standard presets - but only because of 2026.
- The standard presets grew strongly in BOTH years. 2025 was their good year; for the scalpers it was weak.
- Their worst month is smaller, and GOLD ALL has more green months.
- Slippage hardly touches them, because they hold trades for hours, not seconds. With $0.10 worse fills they end 1.6 to 2 times higher than UBS Scalp C Plus and their drawdown stays near 15%; with $0.30 they end 9 to 11 times higher, while the drawdown of UBS Scalp C Plus grows to about 60%.
- The standard presets also have a much longer test history (2020-2026). For them the fast test and the real-tick test give almost the same result (Combo Safe: within about 10% in 2025-26), which is not true for the scalpers.
Key point: for most users the standard Gold Beaver presets are the better and calmer choice.
8. Honest notes - please read
- Not recommended yet. Our scalper presets repeat and improve the original results, but we do not recommend them for now.
- 2025 looks poor. In the same test (15% max drawdown over January 2025 - October 2026), the year 2025 gave about 0% for the original UBS, +9% for the original Ghost Scalper and +48% for UBS Scalp C Plus, with losing months in between. Most of the growth came in 2026, a very wild year for gold. A quiet year can come again.
- UBS Scalp C Plus trades last under 1 minute (half of them less than 20 seconds; Ghost Scalper about 2 minutes). The result depends on very fast, exact fills.
- Slippage takes most of the profit. With the same lot, $338,700 becomes $127,400 with $0.10 worse fills (drawdown 18%) and $18,000 with $0.30 (drawdown 60%). Many brokers fill gold this badly on fast moves.
- Real ticks only. A fast 1-minute test shows these scalpers about 3.5 times better than they really are.
- None of the scalper presets, and no combination of them, will be added into GOLD ALL or GOLD ALL V2.
- These are tests on one broker's data. Live results will be lower. If you try a scalper preset, use a demo account or a very small lot first.
- In the EA these presets are shown in yellow as a reminder that they are sensitive to slippage.
