YazanPro Scalp Panel M5 is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that puts a multi-indicator checklist on your chart and lets you open short trades with one click. It can also trade by itself (AUTO mode, which is the default). It is meant for traders who want to see in one place what the trend, oscillators, moving averages and candlestick and chart patterns say on a short timeframe, and who will test and adjust the settings themselves.
Please read this first. With the default settings this is not a profitable system. The developer tested the same trading engine with a realistic trading cost and found no profitable symbol and timeframe. Also, 3 of the 4 default backtests below that placed trades lost money. The results are listed under "Tested settings you can repeat". Use the EA as an analysis and order tool. Test it on your broker's data and on a demo account first, and expect losses.
How it scores a symbol
On every closed bar of the analysis timeframe it computes a score from -100 to +100. The analysis timeframe is M5 by default, whatever the chart timeframe. The score is a weighted average of these modules (default weight in brackets):
- general trend on D1, H4 and H1 (40 / 35 / 25 %) from EMA 50 / 200, slope, swing structure and ADX (0.5)
- leading oscillators: RSI, Stochastic, CCI, Williams %R, MFI, Momentum, DeMarker and RSI divergence (1.5)
- lagging indicators: EMA 20 / 50 / 200, MACD, ADX +DI / -DI, Ichimoku, Parabolic SAR and Bollinger Bands (1.5)
- candlestick patterns (2.0) and chart patterns: double and triple tops and bottoms, head and shoulders, triangles, wedges and flags (2.0)
It also computes support / resistance levels, supply / demand zones from volume and Fibonacci levels. Their default weight is 0, so they do not change the score, but the support / resistance levels, trendlines and supply / demand zones (not the Fibonacci levels) are used by the entry trigger.
How it enters (AUTO)
On the last closed bar, a buy needs all of the following. A sell is the mirror.
- a score of +20 or more
- a general trend that reads UP: the combined D1 / H4 / H1 trend score must be +30 or more (a timeframe with ADX below 20 counts half)
- a trigger: a reversal candle within 0.3 ATR of a support level, a trendline or a demand zone, or a chart-pattern breakout
- no open position of this EA on that symbol
- the filters: server hours (0-24 by default) inside the symbol's trading session, weekday filters, optional NFP / FOMC and news filters, a spread of 40 points or less, at most 6 entries per day per symbol and at most 3 open positions in total
By default, symbols whose names start with XAUUSD are not traded automatically on Mondays and Fridays (input "Skipped weekdays per symbol").
How it exits
Each order is a market order sent with its stop loss and take profit. The stop loss is 0.8 x ATR(14) of the analysis timeframe, and never closer than the broker's stops level plus the spread. The take profit is 1.2 x the ATR stop distance, and also never closer than that broker minimum. The position is closed after 6 analysis bars (about 30 minutes on M5), or at a bar close when the score passes the minimum on the opposite side. Break-even and a trailing stop are available and off by default. Other modes put the stop behind structure, or the target at the next level or at the Fibonacci 127.2 % extension.
The panel
A table shows one row per symbol with these columns:
- the general trend and the signal side
- a conditions score from 0 to 100: 60 points for the entry conditions that are met and 40 for the strength of the score. It is a checklist, not a probability.
- a CHECKS block: today's daily candle, the candle module, the chart pattern and its retest stage
- Live: for an open trade, a simple random-walk estimate of reaching break-even (or the TP when break-even is off) before the SL; not a forecast
- your open position and the spread
- the AUTO, VIEW, BUY, SELL and CLOSE buttons
Each row also has a box for the maximum spread of a manual press (above it the press waits, up to 60 minutes) and a box for the number of trades per press.
A detail block has two tabs. The GENERAL tab shows:
- a ranking of the symbols by conditions score
- an account summary
- list editing
- the manual stop mode
The SYMBOL tab shows:
- every condition with pass or fail, and short notes on what is missing
- a mini chart
- a one-click button for the suggested side
- a search for similar past price shapes
On the chart of the panel's own symbol, dotted lines show where the SL and TP of a press would go. Rest the mouse on any cell to see an explanation. The panel is in English, and you can switch it to Arabic. The Success column shows "-" in this version because no statistics are included.
On live charts, the pattern search runs on each new bar. It looks for the 20 past 24-bar price shapes in the symbol's own history that are most similar to the current one, and shows what followed over the next 12 bars. It can also give an alert. It is context only and never used for entries. In the developer's tests it did not predict direction reliably.
Modes and manual presses
- AUTO (default): rows with AUTO on trade by themselves. By default every row has AUTO on.
- MANUAL: a header button switches to this mode, where only your BUY / SELL presses trade.
- PANEL (input only): analysis only, no new trades.
In every mode, the exit rules above also manage this EA's open positions, including trades you opened with the buttons.
A press opens one or more market orders at once. The number per press is limited by the "max trades" box. Each order uses the same stop rules as AUTO, or a SMART mode that puts the SL behind the nearest structure. In the developer's tests SMART did not do better than the fixed ATR stops. A press is refused in these cases:
- the mode is PANEL, or the row trades by itself (mode AUTO with the row's AUTO on)
- it does not fit the position caps
- it falls inside the news window, or on a Monday or Friday when "Skip Mondays" / "Skip Fridays" is ON
- the broker does not allow that side
The CLOSE button closes all of this EA's positions on that symbol (not in PANEL mode). It waits up to 1 second for a better price first.
By default only the chart symbol is used. You can add symbols, up to 20 rows, with the "+ symbol" box or by dragging a symbol from Market Watch onto the chart. The panel saves its state in terminal global variables and the symbol list in a small file in the terminal's Files folder.
Symbols and timeframes
It works on any symbol your broker offers that has D1, H4, H1 and analysis-timeframe history. Set the analysis timeframe to "current" to follow the chart. The Strategy Tester allows up to 12 symbols. No preset files are supplied; the defaults are the only shipped settings. AUTO does not enter while the spread is above 40 points. On symbols whose normal spread is wider, raise "Max spread", or AUTO will never enter.
Risk controls
The lot is fixed at 0.03 by default, rounded down to the volume step and kept within the symbol's minimum and maximum. If you set the fixed lot to 0, the lot comes from the risk per trade as a % of balance. In that case, if even the minimum lot would risk more than twice that amount, the EA does not trade.
Before each order the EA checks:
- free margin: an order may use at most 90 % of it, otherwise there is no trade and one message per day
- the symbol's trade mode and volume limit
- the account's order limit
Other limits and filters:
- max open positions: 3, also adjustable on the panel
- max entries per day per symbol: 6; it blocks only AUTO entries, but manual presses count toward it
- spread limit: 40 points for AUTO; manual presses use their own box
- trading hours, Monday / Friday switches and weekdays per symbol
- whole-day NFP / FOMC filters, with an optional close of this EA's open positions throughout such a day
- a news filter of N minutes around high-impact events of the symbol's currencies
The news filter reads the MetaTrader economic calendar on a live chart and saves the events in a file in the terminal's common Files folder. The Strategy Tester has no calendar and uses that file. The FOMC date table covers 2023-2026 only. All of these news and weekday filters are off by default, except the gold weekday filter.
After a refused request the EA waits instead of retrying on every tick:
- 60 seconds after a refused close or stop change
- 15 minutes when the market is closed
- 1 hour when trading is disabled or there is not enough money
Break-even and trailing changes respect the broker's stops and freeze levels.
Account types
The EA works on hedging and netting accounts. AUTO keeps at most one position per symbol. On a netting account all trades on one symbol form one position, so the trades of one press add up, and a press on the opposite side reduces or reverses the position. All Strategy Tester runs on this page used a hedging account; netting was not tested. The input magic number (20261031 by default) marks this EA's trades.
What it does not do
- No martingale: the lot never depends on earlier results.
- No grid and no averaging: AUTO opens at most one position per symbol and never adds to it. Extra trades come only from your own presses.
- No pending orders, no DLLs and no web requests.
- It does not guarantee or predict profits.
Support is only through MQL5 private messages or the comments on this product.
Every result below is a Strategy Tester backtest: hypothetical, not real trading. The one exception is the demo-account result at the end, which is labelled as such. With the default settings the EA lost money in 3 of the 4 product backtests that placed trades. Every real-tick test of the same engine also lost money, and so did every full-cost research test that placed trades.
Product backtests, default inputs
Settings for all five runs:
- Expert: YazanPro Scalp Panel M5, all inputs at their defaults (analysis M5, fixed lot 0.03, AUTO)
- Server: MetaQuotes-Demo, hedging account
- Modelling: 1 minute OHLC
- Deposit: 10,000 USD (run E: 1 USD); leverage: 1:100
- No optimisation
The chart timeframe of a run does not change the analysis, which stays on M5.
- Run A - EURUSD, chart H1, 2026.06.01-2026.10.01: 380 trades, net -24.93 USD, profit factor 0.81, max equity drawdown 0.34 %. Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading.
- Run B - XAUUSD, chart D1, 2025.10.01-2026.10.01: 682 trades, net +689.31 USD, profit factor 1.17, max equity drawdown 3.26 %. Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading.
- Run C - GBPUSD, chart M30, 2026.06.01-2026.10.01: 340 trades, net -44.52 USD, profit factor 0.70, max equity drawdown 0.52 %. Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading.
- Run D - EURUSD, chart M1, 2026.09.01-2026.10.01: 99 trades, net -0.84 USD, profit factor 0.97, max equity drawdown 0.07 %. Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading.
- Run E - EURUSD, chart H1, 2026.09.01-2026.10.01, deposit 1 USD: 0 trades. The EA printed "not enough free margin" and stayed flat. This run checks the margin guard and does not measure performance.
Run B is the only positive result. It covers one year on one symbol, with the coarse 1-minute OHLC model and no extra cost. The developer's tests of the same engine with real ticks or a full trading cost were negative on gold (see below), so do not treat run B as typical. Your broker's prices and spreads will give different numbers.
Developer research on the same trading engine
These tests used the developer's research and live builds with the same entry and exit rules. They cannot be repeated exactly with this product, so the settings are given for reference.
- 57 tests, 2022.01.01-2026.10.20: 19 symbols with analysis M5, M15 and M30, 1-minute OHLC, 0.01 lot, the default entry and exit rules (time exit 6 / 2 / 1 bars) and no weekday filter. An extra cost per trade was added on top of the tester spread: 30 points on XAUUSD, XAUEUR and XPTUSD, 10 on silver and currency pairs, and 10-100 on stock indices. None of the 57 was profitable: every test that placed trades had a profit factor below 1, and the 3 USTEC tests placed no trades because the test account refused that symbol. XAUUSD M5 with the default rules: 5,109 trades, net -1,974 USD, profit factor 0.68. Best: XAUUSD M30, profit factor 0.91, net -253 USD. Currency pairs: profit factor 0.17-0.72. Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading.
- Stop and target grid, 2026.07.01-2026.10.30, modelling "every tick based on real ticks", analysis M5, 0.01 lot, AUTO on one symbol at a time, the developer's live settings: all 24 combinations of symbol and stop / target setting lost money. XAUUSD with the default stops (0.8 ATR, target 1.2 x, 6 bars): net -187.48 USD, profit factor 0.72, the best of the 6 settings tried on gold. XAGUSD: -483 USD with the default stops (best setting -357 USD). EURJPY: -7.52 USD. GBPUSD: -16.37 USD. Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading.
- 14-day re-test of the developer's live build, 2026.10.17-2026.10.30, real ticks, 0.01 lot, AUTO on one symbol, weekday filter off: XAUUSD 48 trades, net -31.64 USD, profit factor 0.65. XAGUSD 52 trades, net -17.95 USD, profit factor 0.85. EURJPY 38 trades, net -2.65 USD, profit factor 0.65. Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading.
Demo account (not a backtest, not real money, cannot be repeated)
The developer's own demo account ran the developer's live build of the same engine from 2026.10.28 to 2026.10.30. It traded 10 symbols: 97 trades opened by manual presses (one press can open several trades; a single EURJPY press opened 33) and 74 AUTO trades, at 0.03 and 0.1 lot, and some trades were closed by hand. Up to the trade closed at 09:36 on 2026.10.30: 171 trades, net -79.16 USD, profit factor 0.84. With two more trades closed later that day: 173 trades, net -98.80 USD, profit factor 0.81.
Hypothetical performance disclaimer (CFTC Rule 4.41)
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
Quick start
- Attach the EA to a chart of the symbol you want to watch. Any chart timeframe works; the analysis runs on M5.
- In the Inputs tab, choose the mode. The default is AUTO, which trades by itself. Choose MANUAL to trade only with the buttons, or PANEL to only watch.
- Set the lot (default 0.03, fixed) and check "Max spread" (40 points) for your symbol.
- Turn on Algo Trading on the toolbar, and "Allow Algo Trading" in the Common tab.
- Read the row: trend, signal side, conditions score and CHECKS. Click VIEW or the symbol name for the detail block. Rest the mouse on any cell for help.
- To trade by hand (MANUAL mode, or a row whose AUTO is off), press BUY or SELL in the row or the big button on the SYMBOL tab. Rest the mouse on BUY / SELL first to see the SL, TP and lot; on the chart's own symbol they are also drawn as dotted lines. CLOSE closes this EA's positions on that symbol.
- Optional: add symbols with the "+ symbol" box or by dragging them from Market Watch onto the chart.
Recommended use
Use it as a checklist and order tool, not as an automatic income source. Test it in the Strategy Tester with your broker's data, then on a demo account, with a small fixed lot. Prefer a hedging account. If you use AUTO, keep "Max open positions" low and remember that the default rules lost money in most tests.
FAQ
Does it guarantee profit?
No. This EA does not guarantee any result, and the default settings lost money in most of the tests shown above.
Did the default settings make money in testing?
Mostly no. Three of the four product backtests that traded lost money. The real-tick tests and the full-cost research on the same engine were negative on every symbol and timeframe tried.
Will it trade as soon as I attach it?
Yes, if Algo Trading is on. The default mode is AUTO on the chart symbol with 0.03 lot. Choose MANUAL or PANEL in the inputs if you do not want that.
Does it use martingale, grid or averaging?
No. The lot is fixed or a % of balance and never depends on earlier results. AUTO opens at most one position per symbol. Extra positions come only from your own presses.
Which symbols and timeframes can I use?
Any symbol your broker offers that has D1, H4, H1 and M5 history. The analysis timeframe is M5 by default and can be changed. AUTO does not enter while the spread is above "Max spread" (40 points).
Can I test the buttons in the Strategy Tester?
No. The tester does not accept clicks, so only AUTO entries are tested there. Use a demo account to try the buttons.
Why does the Success column show "-"?
This version includes no success statistics. The column also shows an amber button while manual presses wait for their spread limit.
Does it work on netting accounts?
It runs on both hedging and netting accounts, but it was tested on hedging only. On netting, all trades on one symbol merge into one position, and a press on the other side reduces or reverses it.
Trading foreign exchange, metals, indices and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for every investor. You can lose more than you expect, and with leverage, losses can be fast. This EA is a software tool, not financial advice and not a managed account. Its default settings lost money in most of the backtests on this page. Backtests and demo results are hypothetical and do not show future results. Spreads, slippage, commissions, swaps, broker execution and price feed errors can make real results worse than any test. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. Test on a demo account first, and check every trade the EA or your own presses open.
