YazanPro Confluence H1 is an Expert Advisor with a chart panel for traders who want to see why a trade is taken. On every closed bar of the analysis timeframe (H1 by default) it scores several groups of indicators, checks the trend on D1, H4 and H1, and looks for a price-action trigger. It enters only when the score, the trend and the trigger agree and every filter passes. It can trade by itself (AUTO), wait for your BUY or SELL click (MANUAL), or only show the analysis (PANEL).
Please read this first. The default settings come from gold (XAUUSD) H1, and a built-in preset is used on AUDJPY. In the backtests below, gold and AUDJPY were positive over 2020-2026 but had losing years, and most of the gold result comes from 2026. With the default settings, the short validation tests on EURUSD and GBPUSD lost money. No other symbol has long backtests behind its settings. There are no guaranteed results. All numbers are under "Tested settings you can repeat".
How it scores
Each module gives a score from -100 to +100 on the last closed bar:
- Trend: D1, H4 and H1 (weights 40%, 35%, 25%) from the EMA 50/200 cross, price against EMA 200, EMA slope, swing structure and ADX. The general trend is UP or DOWN when this score reaches 30 in that direction, otherwise RANGE.
- Oscillators: RSI, Stochastic, CCI, Williams %R, MFI, Momentum, DeMarker and RSI divergences.
- Moving averages and trend indicators: EMA 20/50/200, MACD, ADX +DI/-DI, Ichimoku, Parabolic SAR and Bollinger Bands.
- Candlestick patterns that end on the last closed bar, for example engulfing, hammer, shooting star, pin bar, three white soldiers or three black crows.
- Chart patterns: double and triple tops and bottoms, head and shoulders, triangles, wedges and flags, with breakout, retest and confirmation stages.
- Support and resistance zones, trendlines and pivots; volume and supply/demand zones; Fibonacci retracements.
The confluence score is the weighted average of the module scores. Default weights: trend 0.5, oscillators 1.5, moving averages 1.5, candlestick patterns 2, chart patterns 2. Levels, volume zones and Fibonacci have weight 0 by default: they are shown on the panel, and the zones are used by the candle trigger.
How it enters (default settings)
A buy needs all of the following on the closed bar; a sell is the mirror image.
- Confluence score of +10 or more.
- General trend UP.
- A trigger: a chart-pattern breakout upwards, or a bullish candlestick pattern whose low is within 0.3 ATR of a support zone, a support trendline or a demand zone.
- No open position of this EA on that symbol.
- Filters: server hour from 02:00 to 15:59, the symbol's trading session open, spread at most 40 points, no more than 1 trade per symbol per day, and no more than 3 open positions of this EA in total.
Optional filters, all off by default: news window, NFP and FOMC days, Mondays, Fridays, the first hours of the session, daily-close bias and room to the next level. Live, the order is sent at market at least 5 seconds after a new bar is detected. After you attach the EA, its first possible entry is at the next bar close.
How it exits
- Stop loss 1.5 x ATR(14) and take profit 1.3 x the stop distance (1.95 ATR), both sent with the order and both at least the broker's stops level plus the spread away.
- Break-even: after 0.25 ATR in profit, the stop moves to entry plus 0.125 ATR (the 0.18 ATR lock input, capped at half the break-even distance).
- Trailing stop of 2.0 ATR once the trade is 2.0 ATR in profit. With the default stops, the take profit (1.95 ATR) is closer than this.
- Time exit after 24 bars of the analysis timeframe.
- Exit when the closed-bar score reaches the minimum score on the opposite side.
The stop loss and take profit are on the server. Break-even, trailing, the time exit and the score exit are done by the EA, so the terminal must be running (a VPS is recommended).
Built-in presets
On a symbol whose name contains XAUUSD or AUDJPY (any prefix or suffix, for example XAUUSD.m), a built-in preset replaces these inputs: minimum score, trend rule, triggers (pattern, candle, breakout, bounce), stop (x ATR), take profit (x stop), break-even, trailing, time exit, trading hours, trades per day, maximum spread and skipped weekdays. The lot, risk, module weights and all other inputs still apply. The score exit always follows the global input "Close when the score flips to the other side". The gold preset equals the default inputs, plus no automatic entries on Mondays and Fridays. The AUDJPY preset uses a minimum score of 35, a stop of 3.0 ATR, a take profit of 1.25 x the stop, break-even after 1.0 ATR with a 0.18 ATR lock, no trailing stop, no time exit, hours 00:00-19:59 and no spread limit. Preset hours are for a GMT+2 server (GMT+3 in EU summer) and are shifted on servers with another offset. A gold symbol with another name, such as GOLD, gets no preset. The input "XAUUSD / AUDJPY: built-in preset" turns presets off.
Symbols and timeframes
By default it trades the symbol of its chart. You can list up to 20 symbols on one chart (12 in the Strategy Tester) and choose which of them trade by themselves. The analysis timeframe is H1 whatever the chart timeframe; set it to "current" to use the chart timeframe. Only XAUUSD H1 and AUDJPY H1 have long backtests behind their settings.
The panel
A table shows one row per symbol: the trend, the Signal chip with the side and a conditions score out of 100, open positions with floating P/L, the spread, and AUTO, VIEW, BUY, SELL and CLOSE buttons. The conditions score is a checklist (60 points for the entry conditions that are met, 40 points for score strength), not a probability. An optional CHECKS block shows today's D1 candle, the candle and chart-pattern readings and the retest stage. A detail block has two tabs. GENERAL shows the account, a ranking of the symbols, coming high-impact news, today's closed trades and the sessions. SYMBOL shows a mini chart with levels, the 11 entry conditions, each module's reading, the limits and the exits. Symbols can be added by typing or by dragging them from Market Watch, and removed or reordered. The chart pattern of the chart symbol can be drawn with numbered points, the breakout and the retest. A search for similar past price shapes shows what followed them; it is display only, may raise an alert, and never trades. It has not been tested as a predictor. The panel is in English; Arabic is optional.
Manual trading
In MANUAL mode, or on rows with AUTO off, BUY and SELL send market orders with the same ATR stops, or optional stops at nearby structure. One click can send 1 or more trades and can wait up to 60 minutes for a spread limit that you type. Manual clicks do not check the score, the trend, the trading hours or the daily limit; they do check the open-position caps, the news window, the Monday and Friday switches, the margin and the server's trade mode. CLOSE closes the row's positions and waits up to 1 second for a better tick.
Risk controls
- Lot: fixed 0.03 by default, or a risk percentage of the balance when the fixed lot is 0. If the minimum lot would risk more than twice that percentage, the entry is skipped. The lot is rounded down to the volume step and kept within the symbol's minimum and maximum.
- Before each order: the server's trade mode, the symbol's volume limit, the account's order limit, and margin (the needed margin must be at most 90% of free margin; a short note goes to the journal once a day).
- Stops are at least the stops level plus the spread away; stop changes respect the stops and freeze levels.
- After a "trade disabled" or "market closed" reply, no new requests on that symbol for 15 minutes; after "no money", for 60 minutes.
- Spread limit, trades per day, open-position cap, trading hours, optional news filter, NFP and FOMC days (the built-in FOMC dates cover 2023-2026), closing on those days, weekday switches and per-symbol skipped weekdays.
- The broker's GMT offset is detected automatically (EU summer time assumed) or set by an input.
Account types
Hedging accounts are supported. Netting accounts are not refused, and in AUTO the EA keeps one position per symbol, but this version was not tested on a netting account. On netting, all trades on a symbol share one position: use a symbol that no other EA and no manual trade uses, and keep one trade per click.
What it does not do
No martingale, no grid, no averaging and no lot increase after a loss. No pending orders: market orders only, and in AUTO at most one position per symbol. No DLLs and no web requests; the news filter uses the MetaTrader economic calendar. It does not learn or change its own rules. There are no guaranteed results.
Support is provided through MQL5 private messages and the product comments.
Tested settings you can repeat
Read this before the numbers. With the default inputs, the short tests on EURUSD and GBPUSD lost money. The gold tests were positive, but most of the gold result comes from 2026, and 2020 and 2024 lost money. Most winning trades are small break-even exits and the losing trades are larger, so a high share of winning trades does not by itself mean a profit.
A. Validation runs of this product (version 1.00, all inputs at default)
Common settings: Expert YP_Mix_Market, MetaQuotes-Demo data, Modelling "1 minute OHLC", execution without delay, initial deposit 10,000 USD (test e: 1 USD), leverage 1:100, fixed lot 0.03, all inputs at default. The analysis timeframe is H1 in every test, whatever the chart timeframe.
Test a: EURUSD, chart H1, 2026.06.01-2026.10.01: 30 trades, 80.00% winning trades, net -5.10 USD, profit factor 0.77, max equity drawdown 11.25 USD (0.11%).
Test b: XAUUSD (gold preset), chart D1, 2025.10.01-2026.10.01: 77 trades, 88.31% winning trades, net +699.30 USD, profit factor 2.08, max equity drawdown 294.09 USD (2.90%). Average winning trade 19.84 USD, average losing trade -72.19 USD.
Test c: GBPUSD, chart M30, 2026.06.01-2026.10.01: 28 trades, 64.29% winning trades, net -37.80 USD, profit factor 0.28, max equity drawdown 42.36 USD (0.42%).
Test d: EURUSD, chart M1, 2026.09.01-2026.10.01: 9 trades, 66.67% winning trades, net -4.02 USD, profit factor 0.59, max equity drawdown 11.25 USD (0.11%).
Test e: EURUSD, chart H1, deposit 1 USD, 2026.09.01-2026.10.01: 0 trades, net 0.00 USD. The margin check skipped every entry.
Each test: Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading.
B. Same trades as the developer's own build
XAUUSD H1, 2026.01.01-2026.10.01, "1 minute OHLC", deposit 10,000 USD, leverage 1:100, fixed lot 0.01, all other inputs at default: 59 trades, 54 winning (91.53%), net +265.64 USD, profit factor 2.94, max equity drawdown 77.45 USD (0.75%), average winning trade 7.46 USD, average losing trade -27.43 USD. The developer's own build of the same rules produced the identical list of deals. This check was run before a final clean-up of display and test code in version 1.00; tests a-d gave identical deals before and after that clean-up.
Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading. 2026 made most of the gold profit in the long tests below, so this period is not typical.
C. Long tests with the developer's own build (same rules, same settings as the built-in presets)
Settings: MetaQuotes-Demo data, "1 minute OHLC", 2020.01.01-2026.10.20, deposit 1,000 USD, leverage 1:100, lot 0.01, one symbol per test, AUTO. After each test an extra cost was deducted from every trade, on top of the spread already in the fills: 30 points per trade on gold (0.30 USD per 0.01 lot) and 10 points on AUDJPY. A standard Strategy Tester report does not deduct this cost, so if you repeat these tests with this product (same settings, fixed lot 0.01, presets on), your report will show a higher net result for the same trades, and your broker's data will give different trades. The settings were chosen on data from July 2023 to December 2025; 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2026 were outside that window.
Gold (XAUUSD) H1: 407 trades, 84% winning trades, profit factor 1.58, net +319 USD. By year: 2020 -41.7 USD (profit factor 0.53), 2021 +17.5, 2022 +7.4, 2023 +17.3, 2024 -8.6, 2025 +74.8, 2026 (to 20 October) +252.7. 2026 alone made 252.7 USD of the total; 2020 to 2025 together made +66.7 USD in six years.
Gold, hold-out period 2022.01.01-2023.06.30: 84 trades, profit factor 1.32, net +22.8 USD. With the extra cost doubled to 60 points per trade: profit factor 0.97, net -2.4 USD. The margin is thin and depends on trading costs.
AUDJPY H1: 384 trades, 82.3% winning trades, profit factor 1.64, net +163 USD. Years outside the selection window: 2020 -7 USD, 2021 +24, 2022 +33, 2026 +37.
Other symbols: in an earlier 2020-2026 study of 25 symbols, each with its own settings (pass = at least 3 of the 4 years outside the selection window positive, with a profit factor of at least 1.3 on those years), only gold, silver and AUDJPY passed. Silver then lost in a check with real ticks, so it has no preset. EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, US30 and US500 were close to break-even (profit factor 1.04-1.08), and most other currency pairs lost money.
Each result in C: Strategy Tester backtest, hypothetical, not real trading. This page shows no live or real-account trading results.
Disclaimer for all results above
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown. Slippage, spread, commission and broker execution in real trading also differ from these tests.
Quick start
- Before buying, run the free demo in the Strategy Tester with the settings under "Tested settings you can repeat", on your broker's data.
- On a demo account, open an XAUUSD or AUDJPY chart (any timeframe; the analysis uses H1) and attach the EA. The default mode is AUTO: with Algo Trading on it opens trades by itself from the next bar close, so choose MANUAL or PANEL first if you only want to watch.
- Set the lot (fixed lot, or fixed lot 0 and a risk %), and a different magic number for every instance on the same account.
- Check the start line in the Experts tab of the Toolbox: symbols, mode, detected server GMT offset and trading hours. If your broker states another winter offset, set "Server GMT offset in winter".
- Wait for the next bar close. The Signal chip and the SYMBOL tab show the score, the trend, the trigger and which of the 11 entry conditions are met.
- To follow several symbols, type them in the "+ symbol" box or drag them from Market Watch onto the chart, and switch AUTO on or off per row.
- Keep the terminal running (a VPS is recommended): break-even, trailing and the time and score exits are done by the EA.
Recommended use
Use it on a demo account first, with XAUUSD or AUDJPY H1 and the built-in presets, a small fixed lot and the terminal running on a VPS. On other symbols, treat the defaults as untested and test any change in the Strategy Tester before trading. MANUAL and PANEL modes let you use the analysis without automatic entries.
FAQ
Does it guarantee profit?
No. With the default settings, the short tests on EURUSD and GBPUSD lost money, gold lost in 2020 and 2024, and most of the gold result comes from 2026. Past or simulated results do not guarantee future results.
Does it use martingale, grid or averaging?
No. The lot is fixed or set by a risk percentage; it never increases after a loss. Orders are market orders only, and in AUTO there is at most one position per symbol.
Which symbols and timeframes can I use?
Any symbol your broker offers. Only XAUUSD H1 and AUDJPY H1 have long backtests and built-in presets; every other symbol uses the global inputs. The analysis timeframe is H1 by default, whatever the chart timeframe.
Is the conditions score on the panel a probability?
No. It counts how many entry conditions are met (60 points) plus the strength of the score (40 points). It is a checklist, not a chance of winning.
Why did it not trade?
The SYMBOL tab and the row's tooltip show the reason. Common ones: score below the minimum, trend not aligned, no trigger, outside the trading hours, spread too high, the daily or open-position limit, Monday or Friday on gold, not enough margin, Algo Trading off, or the EA was attached in the middle of a bar and waits for the next bar close.
Does the terminal need to stay on?
Yes. The stop loss and take profit are on the server, but break-even, trailing, the time exit and the score exit are done by the EA.
Does it work on netting accounts?
It does not refuse them and keeps one position per symbol in AUTO, but this version was not tested on netting. On netting, use symbols no other EA or manual trade uses, and one trade per click.
Can one chart trade several symbols?
Yes, up to 20 live (12 in the Strategy Tester). Each symbol has its own row, its own AUTO switch and its own daily limit; the open-position cap counts all of them.
Trading foreign exchange, metals and other leveraged instruments carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. You can lose some or all of your deposit. This Expert Advisor lost money with its default settings in the short EURUSD and GBPUSD tests shown on this page, its gold results had losing years and depend strongly on 2026, and its results are sensitive to spread, commission and slippage, which differ between brokers and accounts. Hypothetical results do not represent real trading. Test on a demo account first, use only money you can afford to lose, and make your own decisions; nothing on this page is investment advice.
