Trade manager panel and risk lot calculator for MetaTrader 5. Set your risk in percent or money, drag the Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit lines on the chart, and place the order in one click with the correct lot size. Manage open trades with breakeven, trailing stop, trailing take profit, partial take profit and bulk close tools.
Precise Trade Manager is a trading panel for manual traders. It calculates the lot size from your risk, shows the risk and reward of a trade before you place it, and helps you manage positions after entry. It does not open trades on its own. Every trade is your decision.
Position size and risk
- Three sizing modes: risk as a percent of balance or equity, risk as a fixed amount of money, or a fixed lot.
- The lot size is calculated from the Stop Loss distance and the symbol's tick value, so it works on Forex, metals, indices, crypto and other CFD symbols.
- Optional commission in risk: the lot size is reduced so that the Stop Loss loss plus the round-turn commission equals the risk you set. For example, with a risk of 100 USD and a commission of 12 USD, the lot is sized for an 88 USD Stop Loss loss, and the panel and handles show the total risk of 100 USD. It can be switched on or off in Settings > Trading.
- The commission is read from your trade history: from your own trades on the symbol, or estimated from a similar symbol until you have traded it. Both ways brokers charge it are supported: a fixed amount per lot, and a percentage of the deal value (common on crypto), which is recalculated at the current price. If the broker changes the commission, the new rate is used as soon as your next trade on the symbol opens.
- Distances can be shown in points, pips or price.
Trade lines on the chart
- Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit lines with handles that you drag up and down.
- Each handle shows the lot size, the distance, the money at risk or reward, the percent of the account and the price.
- Reward to risk presets (1:1 to 1:4) and a custom ratio.
- Pick the Stop Loss or Take Profit level by clicking on the chart.
- Anchor the Stop Loss or Take Profit to a fixed price.
- Optional shaded Stop Loss and Take Profit zones.
Order placement
- One-click Buy and Sell market orders.
- Pending orders from the lines: the panel chooses Buy Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Limit or Sell Stop from where the entry line is.
- Every order is checked before it is sent: lot limits, free margin, the broker's minimum stop distance and the symbol's trading mode. If something is wrong, the panel shows the reason instead of sending the order.
Open position handles
- Each open position on the chart gets its own handle with its profit or loss.
- Drag the position's Stop Loss and Take Profit lines to change them.
- Buttons on the handle to close the position, move the Stop Loss to breakeven, or remove the Stop Loss or Take Profit.
Trade management
- Breakeven: manual for all positions or one position, or automatic when price reaches a set distance. The lock profit can be set in points or as a multiple of the risk (R), and it can include the commission.
- Trailing stop: start, distance and step in points or R.
- Trailing take profit: moves the Take Profit further away while price moves in your favor.
- Partial take profit: up to 6 levels, each closing a percent or a fixed lot at a distance in points or R.
- Optional lines on the chart show where breakeven, trailing and partial levels will trigger.
- The automatic rules only work on positions that have a Stop Loss or Take Profit. A trade opened without them is never given one automatically; the rules start as soon as a level is added, from the panel or from anywhere else.
- Trades opened from anywhere are managed: this panel, the MT5 order window, the MT5 mobile or web terminal, or another computer. Optionally (Settings > Trading), trades opened while MT5 was closed also get the automatic rules when MT5 starts again.
Closing tools
- Close all buy, all sell, all profitable or all losing positions on the symbol.
- Close all positions, or close a percent of every position.
- Delete all pending orders on the symbol.
- Optional confirmation before closing.
Hotkeys
- 13 actions can be assigned to keyboard keys, for example Take Buy, Take Sell, Breakeven, Close All and Close Percent.
- An optional hold key (Shift, Ctrl or Alt) prevents accidental trades.
Notifications
- Sound and on-chart message for entries, pending order fills, exits (Stop Loss or Take Profit hit), breakeven, trailing and partial take profit.
- Each event can be switched on or off and given its own sound.
Appearance and settings
- 9 color themes, 3 fonts and an adjustable panel size in 5 % steps. The layout adapts to high-resolution screens.
- The panel can be dragged or docked to a corner or side of the chart.
- Colors of all trade lines and zones can be changed.
- All settings are remembered. They can be saved to a file and loaded again, or reset to the defaults.
- Magic number and order comment can be set in the panel.
How to start
1. Attach the Expert Advisor to a chart and allow Algo Trading.
2. Choose the sizing mode and enter your risk.
3. Click Buy Line or Sell Line, drag the Stop Loss and Take Profit lines to your levels, and click the order button on the entry handle.
Or use the Buy and Sell buttons for a market order with the lot from the panel.
Strategy Tester (demo)
The free demo runs in the Strategy Tester in visual mode. In the tester you can use the panel buttons, type values into the fields and change levels by double-clicking a line and dragging it. Hotkeys, dragging the panel and picking levels by clicking on the chart are not available in the tester, because the tester does not pass keyboard and mouse events to Expert Advisors. They work on live charts.
Notes
- The panel manages positions and orders on the symbol of the chart it is attached to.
- Breakeven, trailing and partial take profit work only while the Expert Advisor is running on the chart. For uninterrupted management, keep the terminal running, for example on a VPS.
- Trading involves risk. This tool helps you control the size and management of your trades. It does not predict the market or guarantee results.
