PropShield is an account-wide risk guard for prop firm challenges and funded accounts. It monitors daily loss, maximum drawdown and profit target, and closes all positions before a limit is breached. It works on any chart and watches the whole account: all symbols, manual trades and other Expert Advisors.
Main functions
- Daily loss limit as a percentage of the initial balance or of the start-of-day value, including floating loss (equity).
- Maximum drawdown, static or trailing (balance high or equity high). The trailing floor can stop at the initial balance.
- Safety buffer: the guard triggers before the limit is reached, for example at 90 percent of the limit, to leave room for slippage.
- Lock after trigger: any new position or pending order is closed immediately, until the daily reset or permanently after the maximum drawdown is hit.
- Profit target lock: closes all positions and blocks trading when the target is reached.
- Position rules: maximum lot per position, maximum number of open positions, mandatory stop loss with a grace period.
- Friday close at a set time.
- Warnings at a set percentage of each limit, as popup and push notification.
- Panel with status, limit usage and countdown to the daily reset.
- The state is kept after a terminal restart.
Setup
1. Attach PropShield to any chart and enable Algo Trading.
2. Enter the initial balance, the daily loss percentage and the maximum loss percentage of your prop firm.
3. Set the daily reset hour to the server time your prop firm uses.
Input parameters
- Initial balance (0 = current balance at first start)
- Enable daily loss limit, max daily loss %, base for % calculation, start-of-day reference, daily reset hour, block trading until reset
- Enable max drawdown limit, max total loss %, drawdown mode, trailing floor stops at initial balance
- Close all and block at profit target, profit target %
- Safety buffer %, warning level %
- Max lot per position, max open positions, close positions without stop loss, grace period
- Close all on Friday, Friday hour and minute
- Magic number filter (-1 = all trades)
- Popup alerts, push notifications, panel position, reset all locks
Notes
PropShield must run continuously, a VPS is recommended. With price gaps or very fast markets the execution price can differ from the trigger level. The safety buffer reduces this risk but cannot remove it completely. Please check the exact rules of your prop firm before use. The Expert Advisor does not open trades by itself.
