PhoenixZone
An MT5 Expert Advisor that trades the BBMA method — and shows you exactly what it's thinking.
What it does
PhoenixZone watches Bollinger Bands and two moving averages, waits for price to break through the middle band, and trades that break. When price pulls back to the moving averages, it joins the move again. If price breaks back the other way, it flips.
That's the core. Everything else is about doing it carefully.
Four ways to trade, one EA
You pick which engine runs:
| Engine | What it trades |
|---|---|
| BBMA | A candle breaks the middle Bollinger Band — enter on the next one |
| Trendline | Draws support and resistance from swing highs and lows, trades touches and breaks |
| Both | Runs both, trendline context takes priority |
| Donchian | Classic 20-bar breakout — few trades, big moves |
Transparency & Panel
-
Decision log – Every bar prints a Journal line explaining why it acted or didn’t (including distance to entry in points).
-
Live panel (two side-by-side tables):
-
Left – Trend, structure, active mode, spread, Bollinger width, RSI, HTF direction, entry checklist, status.
-
Right – Open position (R-multiple + progress bar), next trade’s SL/TP, balance/margin, daily P/L, and full stats (win rate, profit factor, expectancy, best/worst trade, streak, max drawdown).
-
-
Customizable fonts, spacing, width, and 4 colour themes.
Risk Management (Self-Adjusting)
-
Stops are chart-based (break candle, middle band, MA10, or swing) – if price hits the stop, the setup is invalid.
-
All exits (BE, trailing, targets) are measured in R-multiples of that trade’s own risk; change the stop and everything scales proportionally.
-
A minimum floor prevents stops from being too tight (never less than 15% of Bollinger width) to avoid whipsaws.
6 Exit Mechanisms (All Switchable)
-
Instant break-even (at small profit).
-
Break-even (at chosen R).
-
Profit ratchet – locks in half of best price after 1R.
-
Trailing stop behind MA10 (avoids pullback stop-outs).
-
Partial close – banks 50% at +1R, lets rest run.
-
Turtle pyramiding – adds units every +1R (up to 3), each with its own stop.
Break-even and trailing are judged on closed candles, not ticks, to prevent wick-induced premature exits.
Filters to Avoid Chop (Independently Toggleable)
-
Higher-timeframe trend (won’t fight H1).
-
H4 EMA-50 slope.
-
RSI momentum (must agree with break).
-
ADX (stands aside in no-trend).
-
Spike guard (skips bar after abnormal candle).
-
Bollinger width (skips squeezed markets).
