A gold 1-minute EA, aggressive type, tuned to today's gold market.
You choose two things: the multiplier and how far the balance may dip for a while (the accepted drawdown). At start-up the EA works out how many grid levels fit inside that drawdown; with 3.5 and 50 percent it is 17 levels. When price moves against the first entry, it adds positions in the same direction and closes the whole basket together once it is back in profit.
How it differs from the other GoldHam EAs
- Blade and Shield keep the settings fixed by a two-year test. Attack is set for today's gold market: the average daily high-low range was about 24 USD in 2023 and about 127 USD in January to September 2026, and the grid depth and lot sizes follow that market
- The grid depth comes from your accepted drawdown, not from a fixed table
- While the balance is below its peak, the next basket uses a smaller lot (on by default, can be switched off)
Backtest (MT5, real ticks, 200,000 JPY start, compounding, data to 2026-10-14)
- 3.5 / 50% (recommended): last 12 months 11.0x, last 24 months 13.7x, profit factor 2.34 to 2.35
- 3.0 / 50%: last 12 months 9.2x, last 24 months 11.3x, profit factor 2.34 to 2.36
- Started in each of the 24 months from November 2024 to October 2026 (3.5 / 50%): all 24 ended in profit
- Also tested on the same 30 large past price moves as Blade and Shield
Requirements
- Gold (XAUUSD) on the 1-minute chart, any broker symbol name for gold
- Account currency JPY or USD (other currencies are converted at 1 USD = 150 JPY). Backtest capital 200,000 JPY (about 1,350 USD); it runs from about 70 USD on a 1-oz micro account at 3.5
- Run only this EA on the account
Inputs you normally set: multiplier (2.0 to 8.0, recommended 3.5), accepted drawdown (30 to 90 percent, default 50), lighter lots during a drawdown (on/off).
Past backtest results do not guarantee future results.
