A gold 1-minute basket EA, steady type.

GoldHam Shield uses the same gold 1-minute basket logic as GoldHam Blade, with lighter positions and a cap on the deepest levels. You choose fixed lots or compounding, and a multiplier of 1.0 (recommended), 1.5 or 2.0.

Backtest (MT5, real ticks, 1-oz-per-lot gold contract with minimum lot 0.10, October 2024 to October 2026, 500,000 JPY)

  • Multiplier 1.0: 1.87x fixed, 2.40x compounding
  • Multiplier 1.5: 2.30x fixed, 3.68x compounding
  • Multiplier 2.0: 2.74x fixed, 5.66x compounding
  • Max relative drawdown: 6 to 8% fixed, 10 to 20% compounding

Stress test: 30 runs over six large gold crashes of the past, scaled to today's price. All three multipliers held in all 30 runs; the deepest drop was 14% (1.0), 21% (1.5) and 26% (2.0).

Requirements

  • Gold only: the symbol must be gold (base currency XAU, or a name containing GOLD or XAU). Attach it to a 1-minute (M1) chart. On MT5, use a hedging account.
  • The EA takes your balance at the first start as its capital and sizes the first lot from it. If that lot would be below the symbol's minimum volume, the EA shows the capital it needs and does not trade.
  • Lowest capital at the recommended multiplier 1.0: about 50,000 JPY / 340 USD (1 oz per lot, minimum 0.01 lot), about 500,000 JPY / 3,340 USD (1 oz per lot, minimum 0.10 lot), about 5,000,000 JPY / 33,400 USD (100 oz per lot, minimum 0.01 lot).
  • A small gold contract (1 oz per lot) is recommended. Multiplier 1.5 needs about 2/3 of these amounts, 2.0 about half.
  • Run only this EA on the account. A VPS is recommended.

Inputs

  • Lot mode (fixed / compounding)
  • Multiplier (1.0, 1.5, 2.0)
  • Stop new entries around economic news (off / top only / important / wide)
  • Stop new entries and averaging
  • Magic number
  • Panel size and panel design

All figures are past backtests and do not guarantee future results. Trading involves risk.
