Gold moves fast. Goldforge waits for the source bar to close.
An unfinished XAUUSD candle can look convincing for several minutes and still close in a very different shape. A temporary breakout can fade. A strong-looking reversal can disappear. An intrabar arrow without context can leave the trader with more questions than answers.
I wanted Goldforge to show a more complete discretionary setup after the source candle had finished—not only a direction arrow.
Goldforge Gold Signals is a MetaTrader 5 indicator for XAUUSD or the broker's equivalent Gold symbol. It evaluates completed M5 candles, combines M15 and higher-timeframe confirmation, and displays potential BUY or SELL setups with a reference Entry, TP, SL, planned Time Exit, STR relative class, and five-timeframe trend context.
It is an indicator, not an automated Expert Advisor. It does not send, modify, close, or manage orders. The user remains responsible for every decision and every order.
At the time of this article, the official MQL5 page lists Version 1.24 at 99 USD.

XAUUSD Setups After the Bar Closes | Goldforge Gold Signals MT5
The long-form guide demonstrates the closed-bar concept, the information shown with a setup, the three frequency profiles, STR classes, five-timeframe context, clean guide display, alerts, time handling, and the product's discretionary boundary.
Why Closed-Bar Confirmation Matters
Goldforge uses completed source candles rather than treating every intrabar shape as final.
The recommended visible chart timeframe is M5. Even if the visible chart period is changed, the calculation engine remains M5-based. M15 and higher timeframes are used as confirmation context.
The accurate scope of the arrow behavior is:
After the source M5 candle has closed, its arrow is not moved to another bar.
This is more precise than making an unlimited claim about every possible form of repainting. The point is that the displayed setup is tied to its completed source candle.
What One Goldforge Setup Shows
A setup can place the following information together on one chart:
- BUY or SELL direction
- Reference Entry
- Take Profit
- Stop Loss
- Planned Time Exit
- STR 3, STR 2, or STR 1
- M5, M15, H1, H4, and D1 trend context
This reduces a common discretionary-trading problem: an arrow may identify a possible direction, but the trader still has to reconstruct the plan, check the broader context, and decide how long the setup remains relevant.
Goldforge does not remove that final decision. It organizes the main reference information so that the user can review it in one place.
Three Signal-Frequency Profiles
Goldforge offers three profiles. They are different signal sets, not a ranking from worst to best.
QUALITY
QUALITY is the smallest and most selective signal set.
It may suit a user who prefers fewer setups and is willing to wait longer between opportunities.
BALANCED
BALANCED contains the QUALITY set and adds the M15 trend-acceleration logic.
It is the middle profile for users who want broader coverage without enabling the complete set of available session engines.
HIGH FREQUENCY
HIGH FREQUENCY combines the broadest available Tokyo/Asia, London, and New York M5/M15 engine set.
It does not mean that the setups are automatically better or more profitable. It means that more of the implemented engines are eligible to display setups.
The appropriate profile depends on the user's available monitoring time, desired level of selectivity, and preference for frequency.
When several conditions occur on the same candle, the higher-priority setup is selected. No more than two setups are displayed within any rolling 15-minute window, which helps limit excessive clustering.

What STR 3, STR 2, and STR 1 Mean
STR is an internal relative class inside Goldforge.
- STR 3: Internal Grade A, the strongest relative class.
- STR 2: Internal Grade B, the standard relative class.
- STR 1: Internal Grade C, the lower relative class.
STR is an internal relative class, not a fixed win probability.
STR does not establish a future success rate, and STR 1 does not mean that a setup is automatically unsuitable. The class should be reviewed together with the setup plan, five-timeframe context, current spread, volatility, and the user's own rules.
The latest three arrows display their STR badge. Older-arrow details remain available through hover information.
Five-Timeframe Trend Context
The panel summarizes trend context for:
- M5
- M15
- H1
- H4
- D1
This gives the user a quick way to compare the source setup with both shorter and higher timeframes.
Full alignment across every period is not a promise about the next movement. The panel is contextual information for discretionary review.
A Cleaner Recent-Guide Display
Goldforge is designed to preserve recent planning information without covering the chart with endless historical lines.
- The newest TP/SL guide uses short solid segments with labels.
- The previous two guide sets use shorter dotted segments without labels.
- The exact planned Time Exit remains available in the panel and hover text.
- The newest three arrows show their STR badge.
- Older-arrow details remain available through hover information.
This keeps the latest setup references visible while reducing long chart-wide line clutter.
Alerts and Broker-Time Handling
Goldforge can be configured to use:
- Popup alerts
- MetaTrader mobile push notifications
- Email alerts
- Sound alerts
Notification delivery depends on terminal operation, connection, and the user's MetaTrader settings, so delivery should be tested rather than assumed.
Automatic broker UTC-offset detection is the normal operating choice. A manual UTC-offset mode is available when a known offset is required for Strategy Tester data or imported historical data.
Quiet Periods Are Normal
Goldforge does not force a setup when its implemented trend, spread, volatility, and completed-candle conditions do not agree.
A quiet period is therefore not automatically a malfunction. It can simply mean that the current market does not satisfy an enabled setup condition.
HIGH FREQUENCY expands the eligible logic set, but it still does not require the indicator to display a setup on every candle.
Signals from Different Candles Can Overlap
Setups produced from different completed candles are independent and can overlap in time.
Goldforge is not a one-position system.
Because the indicator does not place or manage orders, the user decides whether to ignore, combine, or separately evaluate overlapping setups.
Historical Research Disclosure
The product page reports research based on user-provided Dukascopy Bid/Ask data:

- UTC M5 bars: 534,144
HIGH FREQUENCY Reconstruction
- Signals: 12,243

Standalone Tokyo/Asia AT15 Module

- Profit Factor: 1.303
These figures are an external historical reconstruction. They are not untouched forward performance and not a native MT5 live-account statement.
When both TP and SL were touched inside the same M5 candle, SL was counted first. Commission, swap, financing costs, rejected orders, market impact, and taxes were not included.
Broker quotes, spreads, symbol specifications, and price history can change the outcome. Past results do not determine future results.
Who Goldforge May Suit
Goldforge may be worth examining for users who:
- Trade XAUUSD discretionarily
- Prefer completed-candle setups
- Want Entry, TP, SL, and planned Time Exit together
- Want to choose between three signal-frequency profiles
- Use multi-timeframe context in their own decisions
- Want alerts without automated order execution
- Prefer a cleaner recent-guide display
- Are willing to test their broker's exact GOLD symbol on demo
Who It Is Not Designed For
Goldforge is not designed for someone who expects a fully automated EA, a setup on every candle, a fixed future win rate, or STR to function as a probability of profit.
It is also not a substitute for testing the intended broker feed and symbol specifications.
A Practical Demo-First Setup
- Use XAUUSD or the broker's equivalent GOLD symbol.
- Start with an M5 chart.
- Keep automatic broker UTC-offset handling in normal use.
- Select QUALITY, BALANCED, or HIGH FREQUENCY according to the desired frequency and selectivity.
- Test Popup, Push, Email, and Sound settings individually.
- Wait for a completed-candle setup and inspect the arrow, Entry, TP, SL, Time Exit, STR, and five-timeframe context.
- Compare the displayed levels with current spread, volatility, and broker conditions.
- Decide independently whether the setup fits the user's own method and risk plan.
Important Product Boundary
Goldforge Gold Signals is an indicator, not an automated trading Expert Advisor.
It does not:
- Send market or pending orders
- Modify or close positions
- Delete pending orders
- Manage overlapping setups for the user
- Decide the user's position size
- Predict a fixed future outcome
Each displayed setup includes a defined SL, and the indicator does not use grid or martingale methods. A displayed SL does not mean that a real order would always close at exactly that price. Gap, slippage, spread, market closure, liquidity, and broker conditions can affect execution.
What the 99 USD Product Provides
The practical value is the combination of:
- Completed-M5-candle setup generation
- A structured discretionary plan rather than an arrow alone
- Three selectable frequency profiles
- STR relative classification
- Five-timeframe context
- A cleaner recent-guide display
- Popup, mobile push, email, and sound options
- Published historical-research methodology and limitations
- Full user control over every decision and order
