About This User Guide
This guide explains the shared settings and trade management features of the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 robots listed below. It is organized into a series of articles covering installation, configuration, trade management, filters, testing, and troubleshooting.
Each robot uses its own built-in trading strategy. Signal settings, available options, and preset values may differ between products and platform editions. All numerical values in this guide are examples; refer to the individual product description for its entry logic and specific settings.

Configuration Messages and How to Fix Them
Find the code or English message shown by the EA, then follow the How to fix column. For example, group 29 is News Filter and group 32 contains history/Magic Number.
Action required indicates an invalid setting or conflicting combination. Note indicates a setting to check so its effect is understood. After changes, inspect the panel and Experts/Journal again.
Platform-specific messages: Codes and controls depend on the edition and version. The MT5 account-mode check 1109 is marked below; it does not mean MT4 has an MT5 Hedging/Netting selector. Use the exact message shown by your EA.
02. Entry Lot Sizing

06. Trailing Stop

07. Daily Drawdown Limit

12. Hedging

32. History and Magic Number

Terminal Permissions

Common Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| A signal exists but no order opens | MT4: check AutoTrading and Allow live trading. MT5: check Algo Trading and the EA permission. Then check direction, sessions, holidays, spread, limits and filters. Inspect Experts/Journal for broker rejections. |
| Entry timing differs from the observed signal | Check strategy confirmation timing, the bar-open entry option and the data candles used by filters. |
| Repeated entries while one signal remains active | Check Tick/bar-open evaluation, Entry limit per bar, position limits and the persistence of the signal state. |
| Lot size differs from the expected amount | Check lot mode, volume management, Grid, minimum/maximum/step, directional volume limits and margin. If volume is raised to the minimum lot, recheck the risk amount. |
| SL/TP disappears after Hedging is enabled | Hedging removes original broker SL/TP. Check the initial hedge reference and basket exit rules. Do not assume the original SL remains server-side protection. |
| Hedge timing differs after switching from Points to SL | Check that both Buy/Sell values were changed from Points to SL multipliers and that the position has a valid initial SL. |
| Maximum open positions is 1 but multiple positions exist | Grid permits multiple positions within one cycle. Hedging may exclude linked pairs from the entry count. Check actual broker positions. |
| Basket closes away from the entered money target | Check Basket TP/SL signs and units, symbol/Magic scope, commission, swap and execution prices. A balanced opposite-direction basket does not recover locked losses merely because price moves further. |
| Hedged pairs remain after Hedging is turned OFF | Turning Hedging OFF does not close pairs or restore SL/TP. Check active exit rules and actual positions. |
| RSI/ADX filtering differs from the intended rule | Check Buy/Sell conditions. Entering an RSI or ADX level is insufficient unless the selected comparison actually uses that level. |
| Session time differs from the intended time | Check server time and broker daylight-saving changes. Sydney/Tokyo/London/New York are session labels. |
| No news appears in Tester | News Filter and News Panel are not active in this EA on either platform tester. MT4 uses ForexFactory on Demo/Live; MT5 can also use its native calendar. Check the source, permissions and panel on Demo. |
| No ForexFactory data on Demo/Live | Check source, the exact WebRequest URL, connection, event types, currencies and Experts/Journal. |
| EA still manages positions while paused | Check the two Pause permissions in group 30. For example, both can be false. Enable Manage open positions while paused if management must continue. Pause does not mean Close All. |
| EA file is missing from Navigator | MT4 requires the .ex4 edition in MQL4\Experts; MT5 requires the .ex5 edition in MQL5\Experts. Use File > Open Data Folder in the intended terminal and refresh Navigator. Reinstall Market purchases through the matching platform Market area. |
| Opposite trade reduces a position instead of creating a hedge | In MT5, check for a Netting account; the strategy needs Hedging. In MT4, check broker no-hedging/FIFO restrictions and whether separate opposite orders are permitted. |
| Recover or losing-streak history is incomplete in MT4 | Load a sufficient range in Terminal > Account History, using All History when needed. Then compare symbol, Magic Number and the EA lookback. Changing the input alone does not load missing broker history. |
| A filter has no data on a copied MT5 timeframe | In MT4, choose a supported online timeframe and load its history. Some periods available in MT5 are non-standard/offline periods in MT4. Check the actual timeframe options supported by the MT4 EA. |

- EA name and version, MT4 or MT5, and terminal build number.
- Broker, full symbol name and timeframe.
- Screenshots of relevant settings and the message on the panel or in Experts/Journal.
- The time of the issue and the intended behavior, such as entry conditions, lot size, hedging or basket closing.
Example values in this guide only explain how settings work. Preset values and signal parameters may differ between EAs. Check the settings of the product you are using.
