Five checks for a gold EA
- Real ticks, with a delay. On XAUUSD a modelled tick hides the spikes that decide the result. Ask for "Every tick based on real ticks" and an order delay.
- Many months, not one great year. Count the positive months and look at the worst one.
- Equity drawdown. Open baskets sit in floating loss. Balance drawdown hides it.
- A take profit that lives on the server. If the exit depends on your VPS reacting in time, a slow connection costs you.
- Modes you can size. The same engine must run small and run big, and the drawdown must be printed for each.
