A fixed stop is not a fixed amount of money. It is a number of points, and the symbol decides what a point is worth. I ran one stop of twenty pips twice. On the first symbol the distance is 2.00, which is two hundred ticks, and at a tick value of 0.50 that is 100.00 of money. On the second symbol the same 2.00 distance is forty ticks, because its tick size is 0.05 while its point is 0.01, so the same stop is 20.00. Five times, from one number to the other, and nothing on the screen says so. What it means for you: size the stop in ticks and not in pips, and redo one money figure by hand before you trust the lot a tool gave you. The long version, with the code, is the article I wrote on tick size, tick value and contract size.
