Razor Gold is an automated gold (XAUUSD) scalping robot. It waits for qualified short-term setups, confirmed by trend, market structure, momentum, volatility, liquidity and spread checks, and trades them with a defined stop loss on every trade. No grid, no martingale.

How Razor Gold Trades
On gold, Razor Gold uses a pip size of 0.01: 100 pips = $1.00 of gold price. With the default settings, a buy trade goes through four stages:
- The breakout pending order fills. Stop loss: 300 pips ($3.00).
- At +35 pips the stop moves to entry (break-even).
- From +80 pips the stop trails 80 pips behind price.
- The trade is trailed out in profit. Maximum take profit: 1000 pips ($10).
Most trades end at the trailing or break-even stop, not at the full take profit.
Protection layers:
- Every trade: stop loss, risk = your Risk Per Trade %
- Loss Lock: 12-hour pause after 2 losses in a row
- Daily: trading stops at -5% (Max Daily Loss)
- Between trades: 15-minute cooldown
Which Timeframe?

Razor Gold trades the timeframe of the chart it is attached to. Pick one timeframe per account and backtest it before going live.
Installation
- In MetaTrader, click File › Open Data Folder.
- Open the MQL4 folder (on MT5: MQL5), then Experts.
- Paste the Razor Gold file (.ex4 or .ex5) into Experts. If you received a .zip, extract it first.
- In the Navigator (Ctrl+N), right-click Expert Advisors › Refresh.
- Open Tools › Options (Ctrl+O) › Expert Advisors. Tick Allow automated trading and Allow WebRequest for listed URL, then add https://xaubot.com.
- Open one XAUUSD chart on M15 (your broker may call it GOLD, XAUUSD.r, XAUUSDm or XAUUSD.raw).
- Double-click Razor Gold in the Navigator. In the Common tab, tick Allow live trading.
Bought on the MQL5 Market? Log in under Tools › Options › Community, open Terminal › Market › Purchased, click Install, then continue from step 6.
The #1 cause of license problems: if the URL is missing or mistyped (http instead of https, an extra space, a slash at the end), the robot cannot verify your key and will not trade. Copy it exactly: https://xaubot.com
Only one gold chart. Never attach Razor Gold to two charts, and never run it on two terminals for the same account.
License Activation
Razor Gold only trades on account numbers registered to your license. After purchase, open a private chat with XAUBOT on MQL5 and send your broker, platform (MT4 / MT5), account number(s) and account type (live / demo). Paste the key you receive into XAUBOT License Key on the Inputs tab, with no spaces before or after. Click Save to store a .set file for next time.

Worked example: balance $1,000 × risk 1% = $10 at risk. With a $3.00 stop loss, 1 lot would lose $300, so the robot opens about 0.03 lot.
Starter profile for calm first weeks: license key pasted, XAUUSD M15 chart, Risk Per Trade 0.5–1%, Max Daily Loss 3–5%, News Filter true (USD), everything else default.
Going Live and the Dashboard
Click OK and check that the AutoTrading button is green and a smiling face shows in the chart's top-right corner. The XAUBOT dashboard then shows:
- Status: Live = license verified and trading enabled
- Today: trades, win rate, profit and max drawdown
- Risk per trade: your risk %, news filter, GMT offset, leverage and trading timeframe
- Symbol row: spread now / max, open P&L, score and risk
- News: upcoming events and their impact
- AI view: XAUBOT's AI read of gold's structure and trend
No trade yet? That is normal. Razor Gold can wait hours for a valid setup, and skips wide spreads, news windows, cooldowns and Loss Lock pauses.
Backtesting
- Open the Strategy Tester (Ctrl+R) and select Razor Gold.
- Choose your broker's gold symbol and the timeframe you will trade (M15 by default).
- Model: Every tick on MT4, or Every tick based on real ticks on MT5.
- Set a realistic spread (15–25), at least 1 year of data and an initial deposit of $100+.
- Press Start, then check the Graph and Report tabs.

Broker Requirements
Razor Gold trades often and exits early, so the spread you pay on every trade is a large part of the result. At 0.10 lot, a 10-pip spread costs $1.00 per trade; a 30-pip spread costs $3.00, and is above the robot's 20-pip limit, so many trades are skipped.
- Low gold spread, typically below 20 pips ($0.20)
- Low slippage and fast execution
- Leverage 1:20+ (1:100 or higher is comfortable)
- Pending orders allowed
- MT4 or MT5, matching your Razor Gold build
- A regulated, established broker
Look for account types called Raw, Raw Spread, ECN, Razor or Zero. Check the gold spread on a demo during the London and New York sessions before funding.
VPS
Break-even, virtual trailing and pending orders are managed by the robot itself. If MetaTrader is closed, nothing manages them. A VPS keeps Razor Gold running 24/5.

Recommended: Windows Server, 2 vCPU, 2–4 GB RAM, SSD, in the same city as your broker's server. Put the MetaTrader shortcut in shell:startup so it restarts automatically.
Never "Shut down" or "Sign out" inside the VPS. Close the remote window with the X. Never run Razor Gold on your PC and the VPS at the same time.
Troubleshooting
