Keeping CORVUX RADAR up to date ensures you have access to the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes. This guide explains how to update the indicator, whether you installed it through MQL5 Market or manually.

Understanding CORVUX RADAR Versioning

CORVUX RADAR uses semantic versioning: Major.Minor.Patch (e.g., 1.0.0).

Major updates introduce significant new features or changes.

Minor updates add smaller features or improvements.

Patch updates fix bugs or make small adjustments.

The current version is 1.00.

Automatic Updates via MQL5 Market

If you installed CORVUX RADAR through MQL5 Market, updates are handled automatically by MetaTrader 5. You do not need to download anything manually.

How to Check for Updates

Step 1: Open MetaTrader 5

Launch your MetaTrader 5 terminal and log in to your MQL5 account.

Step 2: Access My Purchases

Go to the Market tab in the Toolbox panel, then click My Purchases.

Step 3: Check for Update Button

If an update is available for CORVUX RADAR, an Update button will appear next to the product name.

Step 4: Apply the Update

Click the Update button. The new version will be downloaded and installed automatically.

Step 5: Restart MetaTrader 5

Restart MetaTrader 5 to ensure the new version is loaded.

Manual Updates

If you installed CORVUX RADAR manually (without MQL5 Market), you will need to update it manually when a new version is released.

Step 1: Download the New Version

Obtain the new CORVUX_RADAR.ex5 file from your source.

Step 2: Close MetaTrader 5

Close the MetaTrader 5 terminal completely.

Step 3: Open the Data Folder

Navigate to Data Folder → MQL5 → Indicators.

Step 4: Replace the File

Copy the new CORVUX_RADAR.ex5 into the Indicators folder, replacing the existing file when prompted.

Step 5: Update the Logo (if included)

If a new corvux_logo.bmp is included in the update, copy it to Data Folder → MQL5 → Images, replacing the existing file.

Step 6: Restart MetaTrader 5

Launch MetaTrader 5 again. The new version will be loaded automatically.

Preserving Your Settings

CORVUX RADAR stores its state in global variables. Your panel position, minimized state, accumulated spread history, and selected symbol are preserved across updates and terminal restarts. No configuration is lost during an update.

What's New in Each Version

Version 1.00 (Initial Release)

Horizontal panel anchored to the top of the chart.

Four monitoring blocks: Volatility, Spread, Account & Health, Spread History.

Real-time sparkline with hover crosshair.

Market regime detection (Trending, Range, Dead, Hostile).

Multi-symbol watch with click-to-cycle.

PNG snapshot with confirmation toast.

CSV log of state changes.

Four visual themes (Dark, Light, Night, High Contrast).

Panel persistence across terminal restarts.

Alert system with cooldown and banner notifications.

Troubleshooting Updates

Issue: The Update button does not appear in My Purchases

Solution: Verify that your MQL5 account is logged in and the terminal has an active internet connection. If the update was just released, it may take a few hours to propagate through the Market system.

Issue: After updating, the panel behaves unexpectedly

Solution: Remove the indicator from the chart and add it again. This forces a clean reload of the new version. Your settings will be preserved through global variables.

Issue: The update was installed, but the version number still shows the old one

Solution: Restart MetaTrader 5. The version number is loaded at startup.

Issue: I lost my settings after updating

Solution: This should not happen under normal circumstances. CORVUX RADAR uses global variables to persist settings. If you experience settings loss, check that your MetaTrader 5 installation has write permissions to the global variables storage.
