How to Choose an Expert Advisor If You Don't Want to Lose Your Entire Account One Day
When choosing an Expert Advisor, most traders focus on profitability first.
This is understandable, but high returns alone say very little about the quality of a trading system.
It is far more important to understand how those profits are generated and what risks may be hidden behind attractive statistics.
Over the years, several key criteria have emerged that experienced traders pay close attention to when evaluating automated trading systems.
1. Verified Live Trading Statistics
A strategy tester allows you to evaluate an idea and test a strategy on historical data.
However, only live trading shows how a system behaves under real market conditions.
That is why a public Live Signal is one of the most important factors when choosing an Expert Advisor.
It allows traders to independently verify profitability, drawdown, trading history, and result consistency.

2. No Martingale or Averaging
These mechanisms are among the most common reasons trading accounts eventually fail.
Increasing position size after losses and accumulating losing positions can produce attractive statistics for a long time, but the risk continues to grow over time. The key is identifying whether an Expert Advisor uses averaging or Martingale techniques.
The image below shows one of the most common signs of averaging.

Figure 2. Trades are opened at different times but closed simultaneously — one of the most common signs of averaging.
Many experienced traders deliberately avoid Expert Advisors that use Martingale, grid systems, or averaging techniques.
They prefer systems with controlled and clearly defined risk.
3. Stop Loss and Take Profit on Every Trade
When opening a position, a trader should understand not only the potential reward but also the maximum possible risk.
That is why predefined Stop Loss and Take Profit levels are considered one of the signs of transparent risk management.
When protection and target levels are placed directly in the order, the risk is known before the trade is even opened.

These are exactly the principles behind the development of Gold Storm PRO.
- Public Live Signal with verified trading statistics.
- Complete absence of Martingale and averaging.
- Stop Loss and Take Profit on every trade.
My goal was not to create an Expert Advisor with the most impressive backtest results.
The primary objective was to build a system that reflects the priorities of traders who value transparency, risk control, and long-term stability.
