Ethereum Wave is the simplest crypto EA we sell: long-only, one position, buy confirmed breakouts above the long-term average, trail the winner. This guide covers setup and one honest disclosure about its backtest model.

Setup
Attach to an ETHUSD H4 chart (works on any MT5 broker offering Ethereum; use the broker's exact symbol). Defaults are the published configuration: long only when price is above the H4 SMA200, entry on a confirmed Donchian breakout, a hard ATR stop on every position, an ATR trailing exit. No grid, no martingale, no averaging — a single clean position.
The numbers, and what the model means
Backtest (Exness data, ETHUSD H4, 2021-2026, $10,000): about +114%, Profit Factor 2.41, max balance drawdown 12.7%, win rate near 44% with average wins well above average losses. One honest note: this test used the 1-minute OHLC model, not every real tick. For an H4 system with ATR-wide stops the difference is small, but we state it because our other products are measured on real ticks and we do not want the comparison to mislead you.
What normal looks like
Long-only means it does nothing in downtrends by design — when ETH is below its long-term average the EA stays flat, sometimes for months. That patience IS the risk control. Trends do not appear every week; quiet periods and stopped-out entries between trends are the normal cost.

The SMA filter, channel and ATR multipliers define the tested system. Your inputs: risk sizing, filters, notifications. Check your broker's ETHUSD swap for multi-day holds.
