Quiet Gold-Silent Structure. Loud Precision.
Quiet Gold is a fully automated MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor built exclusively around how XAUUSD actually moves — market structure, liquidity, and price action — rather than lagging indicators stacked on top of each other. It was built on a simple premise: gold punishes noisy, overtraded systems and rewards patience, so Quiet Gold is engineered to wait. It reads the chart the way a discretionary structure trader would — mapping swing highs and lows, tracking breaks of structure and changes of character, identifying where liquidity is likely resting above old highs or below old lows, and only acting once price proves itself with a genuine confirmation candle or a clean structural shift. No arrow-spam, no signal-chasing, no revenge trades. It either sees a real setup, or it does nothing at all — and it tells you which, in real time, on the chart.
At its core, Quiet Gold continuously builds a live picture of the market on two levels. First, it reads a higher timeframe (configurable, H4 by default) to establish directional bias using swing-sequencing logic — higher highs and higher lows for bullish bias, lower highs and lower lows for bearish. Second, on your trading timeframe (built for M15 and H1), it maps the most recent confirmed swing points into support and resistance zones, watches for breaks beyond those zones (Break of Structure), and flags when a break contradicts the prevailing higher-timeframe bias (Change of Character) — a distinction serious price-action traders care about, because a CHOCH often means the trend itself is turning. Layered on top of that structural read, Quiet Gold scans for rejection wicks, engulfing candles, and liquidity sweeps — moments where price pierces a key level just far enough to trigger stops and trap late entries before reversing — and treats those as the trigger, not the reason, for a trade. A trade only fires when the higher-timeframe bias, a meaningful zone or sweep, and a genuine confirmation candle or structural shift all line up together. It will not buy directly into resistance, and it will not sell directly into support, regardless of how tempting the setup looks on the surface.
Every trade Quiet Gold opens is risk-defined before it's ever placed. Position size is calculated automatically from your chosen risk percentage, your account balance, and the actual distance to a structurally-placed stop loss — never a fixed arbitrary lot, and never unlimited. You can instead fix a manual lot size if you prefer full manual control. Every stop loss sits beyond the relevant swing point with an adjustable safety buffer, and every take profit is derived from an adjustable risk-to-reward ratio, defaulting to 1:2. From there you can layer in optional break-even (lock in a defined amount of profit once price has moved a set multiple of your initial risk), optional trailing stop, and optional partial take-profit to bank a portion of a winning trade early while letting the remainder run. Daily risk is capped at the account level too — Quiet Gold enforces a maximum daily loss percentage and a maximum number of trades per day, and once either limit is hit, it stops opening new trades for the rest of that day, full stop, no overrides, no exceptions. There is no martingale, no grid, and no lot-size escalation after a loss anywhere in this system — every trade is sized independently, every time.
Beyond the entry logic and risk engine, Quiet Gold filters out the conditions that quietly wreck otherwise-good strategies. A spread filter blocks entries when your broker's spread widens beyond an acceptable threshold — critical on gold, where spread can spike violently around news and session opens. A slippage cap protects your fills. A trading-session filter lets you restrict activity to the London session, the New York session, or the London/New York overlap specifically — the windows where gold's structure tends to be cleanest — and a built-in news-time buffer adds an extra layer of caution around historically high-impact release windows. Every filter is switchable and adjustable from the EA's inputs, so you decide exactly how conservative or active Quiet Gold should be for your account and trading style.
Transparency was a design requirement, not an afterthought. Quiet Gold runs a professional live dashboard directly on your chart — not a cluttered wall of numbers, but a clean, dark-themed panel showing current EA status, higher-timeframe bias, detected structure direction, the last structural event it identified (a BOS or CHOCH, in plain language), open trade count, trades taken today against your daily cap, running daily profit/loss, your configured risk per trade, and a live signal log explaining exactly why it did or didn't take the last bar's setup. There's also a one-click Emergency Close All button built directly into the panel, so you're never more than a click away from flattening every position the EA holds. Every meaningful decision — trades opened, partial closes, break-even adjustments, trailing updates, and blocks triggered by your filters — is also written to the MT5 Experts/Journal log, so you always have a full audit trail of what the EA did and why.
Quiet Gold is built for traders who have watched enough overtraded gold EAs blow up in fast conditions and want the opposite philosophy: fewer trades, higher conviction, and a system that respects capital preservation as much as it respects opportunity. It is compatible with both netting and hedging account types, runs cleanly in the Strategy Tester for backtesting and optimization, and is equally suited to demo validation and live deployment once you've confirmed it fits your risk tolerance. As with any automated trading system, past structure and backtested performance do not guarantee future results — Quiet Gold is a disciplined execution framework for a proven style of analysis, not a promise of profit, and thorough demo testing before committing real capital is strongly recommended.
