GTM Journal turns the trade history already sitting in your terminal into a journal you will actually read.
Every closed position is rebuilt from your deal history — entry, exit, the stop that was set when you opened it, where that stop finished, the best and worst price the trade ever saw — and laid out across ten pages inside one draggable panel. Nothing is typed in twice. Nothing leaves your computer.
It does not trade. It opens no positions, modifies nothing and sends no orders. It reads your history and gives it back to you organised.

📅 Calendar — a month at a glance, every day coloured by its result, with the day's trades beside it.
📊 Dashboard — net P&L, trade count, win rate, profit factor and expectancy, an equity curve you can switch between Profit, Growth, Balance and Drawdown, and a win/loss donut. Hover anywhere on the curve and a card names that point: date, symbol, running profit, running balance and the lot size that moved it.
📋 Trades — the full log with filters for symbol, direction, result, session and setup. Symbol and setup open as a drop-down list, or step with the arrows either side, or the mouse wheel. The row you last opened stays highlighted, so it is easy to pick up where you left off. One button exports the filtered set to CSV.
🕯 Trade detail — the anatomy of a single trade. A candle chart with the risk box drawn from entry to the original stop, the target box from entry to take profit, the moved stop on its own line, and entry and exit marked. Switch timeframe with one click (M1 · M5 · M15 · M30 · H1 · H4 · D1, or AUTO), zoom with the buttons or the wheel, drag the chart sideways, or press LIVE to follow the forming candle. Beside it: lots, risk, gross, swap, commission, duration, session, entry hour, R multiple, MFE, MAE, MFE in R, MAE in R and exit efficiency.
📈 Analytics — where the edge actually comes from. Performance by setup, an average-R heat map by day and hour, an MAE-versus-MFE excursion plot, and an exit-efficiency ring that says how much of the best available move you kept.
🏷 Trade Setups — your own list of methods (SMC, ICT, Elliott Wave, order block, FVG, liquidity sweep, break of structure, trend line, line cross, and anything else you add), and a queue of every trade still untagged. Pick a setup on the left, click trades on the right. Two seconds each.
🖼 Screenshots — a gallery of every chart you captured, filtered by win, loss or symbol. Click one to see it full size, step through with the arrows, and jump straight to the trade it belongs to.
📄 Reports — close the day, the week or the month. Balance curve, P&L per trade, period summary, breakdown by symbol and by setup, exportable.
🤖 AI Coach — two halves. Local review runs on your own computer with no key, no internet and nothing leaving the machine: it reads your period and writes back the specific leaks — risk sizing that is not consistent and which trade broke the pattern, the session that is costing you, the trades that gave back more than 1R, your longest losing run, and one rule for next week. The second half is optional: add your own Google, OpenAI or Anthropic key and ask questions in your own words, in any language. Only aggregated statistics are sent — never your account number, broker, login, ticket numbers or password.
⚙ Settings — accent colour, interface language, night or day theme with a dim mode for both, server GMT offset, magic-number filter, automatic screenshot on close, panel size, and your setup library.

Getting started
- Drag GTM Journal from the Navigator onto any chart. One chart is enough — it reads the whole account, not the symbol it sits on.
- Allow Algo Trading so the panel receives events. It still places no orders.
- Set Server time offset from GMT in Settings if your broker is not on GMT, so the session and hour statistics line up.
- Open a trade on the Trade detail page and tag it. The analytics start paying you back at about thirty tagged trades.
Inputs
| Panel_X / Panel_Y | Where the panel opens, in pixels from the top left of the chart. Leave them alone and the panel reopens where you last dragged it. |
| Panel_Width / Panel_Height | Panel size in pixels. Default 1505 × 745. It is also resizable from Settings. |
| Accent | Accent colour: Teal, Lime or Cyan. |
| MagicFilter | Show only one magic number. −1 shows every trade on the account. |
| ServerGmtOffset | Your broker's server time offset from GMT, in hours. This is what makes the session and hour breakdowns correct. |
| RefreshSeconds | How often the panel re-checks for new closed trades. Default 1 second. |
Works on any broker and any symbol. Hedging and netting accounts both supported. MetaTrader 5 only.
