Catch the Trend Resume, Not the Pullback Trap.
The most frustrating moment in trading is watching a strong trend, seeing it pull back, and assuming the move is finished. Premature exits often lead to missed opportunities when the market resumes its primary trajectory. Alternatively, entering too early inside an active retracement exposes positions to adverse price movement and liquidity sweeps before the structural trend reasserts itself. These challenges stem from difficulty distinguishing a temporary corrective phase from an outright reversal.
Every sustained trend experiences corrective pullbacks as order flow rebalances. The essential task is identifying when a retracement is exhausting and the dominant structural momentum is resuming. This indicator evaluates price action to isolate high-probability continuation zones. It confirms the resumption of trend momentum through an engulfing price structure, where a dominant expansion candle completely envelops the prior candle's body, indicating that directional control has returned to the primary trend. The logic operates effectively across active trading sessions and high-volume instruments where directional flow remains structured.
Section 2: Entry Logic and Trade Management
When a valid setup forms, a complete visual trade plan is plotted directly on the chart:
- BUY Setup: Requires an established upward trend structure followed by a temporary corrective retracement. At the conclusion of the retracement, a bullish engulfing candle forms, closing above the range of the preceding candle. Once that candle closes, an execution signal confirms, and entry is placed at the open of the subsequent bar.
- SELL Setup: Requires an established downward trend structure followed by a corrective upward bounce. A bearish engulfing candle then completely covers the preceding candle body, signaling resumed selling momentum. Once confirmed at candle close, entry is placed at the open of the subsequent bar.
- Structural Stop Loss: Automatically positioned beyond the structural swing point created by the retracement, with an integrated volatility buffer to accommodate standard market fluctuation while keeping risk clearly defined.
- Multi-Tier Target Ladder: Projects four structured Take Profit levels based on systematic risk-to-reward ratios:
- TP1: Positioned for early profit taking on initial directional follow-through.
- TP2: Targets the standard structural swing to establish a balanced trade distribution.
- TP3: Aims to capture extended wave movement during prolonged expansions.
- TP4: Acts as an extended target to capture maximum price continuation in sustained trends.
- Calculation Integrity: All calculations, signals, stop levels, and target projections are evaluated exclusively on closed bars. Once printed, the signals remain static without recalculating, shifting, or disappearing from historical bars.
