FXcow EA — 5-Range Breakout Expert Advisor for Gold (XAUUSD)
Automated opening-range-breakout trading built specifically for Gold.
FXcow EA tracks five independent, fixed daily trading windows on Gold, building a high/low range for each one. Once a range closes, the EA watches live price for a genuine breakout of that range and can take up to two trades per range — one on the initial breakout, and one on the opposite breakout if price reverses back through the range. Each of the five ranges is fully independent: its own high/low, its own trade count, its own on/off switch, and its own take-profit target — a trade or a disabled range on one never affects the others.

- Persistent trade state — survives EA removal, terminal restarts, and disconnects. FXcow EA reconstructs each range's status from its own saved state and cross-checks it against your trade history, so it never loses track of how many trades a range has already taken.
- Daily cycle reset — automatically closes any still-open EA positions at the start of each new trading day, so every day begins with a clean slate across all five ranges.
- Full visual range plotting on the chart for each session, color-coded, so you can see exactly where every range sits.
- Robust risk handling — automatic lot normalization, broker stop-level/freeze-level compliance, and clear Experts-log messages if an order can't be placed.

Recommended Use
- Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold) — FXcow EA checks for a gold-type symbol on startup and will warn you if attached to something else.
- Timeframe: Works on any timeframe; the range-building timeframe is independently configurable from the chart timeframe.
- Test thoroughly on a demo account and in the Strategy Tester (using "Every tick based on real ticks" modeling for the most accurate simulation of live breakout behavior) before running on a live account.
