QV Unlock — Manager & Recovery Tool for Locked / Hedged Positions (MT4)
Stuck in a lock? Two opposite positions frozen at a loss, and now you are staring
at the chart wondering what the net even is, how far break-even is, and when to
freeze the next drawdown. QV Unlock is a management tool for exactly that
situation. It adopts any existing lock on the symbol — your own EA's orders,
another EA's, or manual trades — shows you the full picture on one panel, and
(when you allow it) works the basket toward break-even + a buffer under a hard
safety layer. It does not predict direction and it is not a money-printing robot
— it is a disciplined helper for positions you already hold.
WHAT IT DOES
- Live X-ray panel (ADVISOR mode, read-only): net lots, lock width, frozen P&L
of the basket, distance to break-even, equity, margin level, total volume vs
your cap. Zero trades in this mode — safe to keep on a real account just to
watch.
- Auto-Lock — automatic drawdown freeze: when a chosen group's floating loss
reaches your threshold (% of balance), the EA hedges its net to zero and
freezes the loss — the thing many traders do by hand during news, but instant
and rule-based.
- Profit-Eater — dissolve the lock from account profit: when the rest of your
account is in profit, the EA gradually closes the locked legs symmetrically,
funded by that profit, taking the basket out at break-even + buffer. No edge
of its own required.
- Hard safety layer: equity-floor capitulation stop, total-lot cap, net-exposure
cap, max actions per day, spread guard. Risk has a known ceiling, set by you.
THE FOUR RESOLUTION MODES
1. Eat lock with account profit (SAFE) — symmetric reduce-only, financed by your
account's profit. Will not grow volume.
2. Wait for break-even, then close all (SAFE) — opens nothing; closes the whole
basket the moment its P&L reaches the target.
3. Aggressive directional recovery (HIGH RISK, OFF by default) — adds directional
volume to push for an exit. This is a martingale-style tail. Use only
deliberately, with a lot-cap.
4. Auto trend/range switch — uses mode 3 in a trend, mode 1 in a range (ADX).
WHAT QV UNLOCK IS NOT
This is an honest product. QV Unlock does not generate a trading edge and will
not turn a losing lock into profit out of thin air. The safe modes only realise
a loss your account can already afford (Profit-Eater) or wait patiently
(Basket-Floor). The aggressive mode adds risk and can hit its safety stop. Always
run it on demo first, and keep ADVISOR mode on a real account until you
understand its behaviour.

REQUIREMENTS
- MetaTrader 4, hedging is native to MT4 (no setting needed)
- Works on any symbol where a lock exists (built and verified on XAUUSD)
- Cent or standard account (panel has a cent-account display divisor)
- Make sure your account allows simultaneous BUY + SELL (all MT4 accounts do)
