Phoenix Trend MT4 – ATR Grid/DCA with Trend Filter & Basket TP
Phoenix Trend MT4 is a trend-following grid/DCA EA using a higher-timeframe MA filter, ATR-based dynamic grid steps, and basket-level take-profit.
This product does not contain profit promises. Grid/DCA trading can experience prolonged drawdowns and may lead to margin call or full account loss in extreme conditions.

Main features
- Higher-timeframe trend filter (Fast MA vs Slow MA) to define Buy/Sell direction.
- Pullback-based base entry on a signal timeframe to avoid chasing extremes.
- ATR-based dynamic grid spacing (wider in high volatility, tighter in calm markets).
- Basket take-profit by money and/or by points (VWAP/average-price based).
- Optional caps and protections: max total volume per symbol, drawdown protection, time filter, Friday exit, margin checks.
How it trades (simple overview)
1) Determine direction from the higher timeframe MAs (or force Buy-only / Sell-only).
2) Wait for a pullback near the fast MA on the signal timeframe, then open the base order.
3) If price moves against the basket, add grid orders using ATR-based step distance.
4) Close the whole basket when the selected basket TP condition is reached.
Basket exit logic
| Money TP | Close basket when total profit (incl. swap/commission) for EA positions on the symbol reaches the money target. |
| Points TP | Close basket when price moves the configured points from the basket’s volume-weighted average price in the trade direction. |

Key settings (what most users adjust)
| Trend timeframe | Higher timeframe used for MA filter (e.g., H4). |
| Signal timeframe | Timeframe used for pullback detection (e.g., M5/M15). |
| ATR grid step | ATR period and multiplier that define grid spacing. |
| Lot mode | Fixed lot or balance-based lot. Optional lot multiplier (high risk). |
| Max volume | Cap for total lots opened by the EA on the symbol. |
| Drawdown protection | Optional: close basket / stop trading when DD% threshold is reached. |
| Trading hours / Friday exit | Optional time filter and end-of-week exposure reduction. |
Quick start
1) Attach the EA to ONE chart per symbol.
2) Select Auto direction (or Buy-only / Sell-only) and set your trend & signal timeframes.
3) Start conservative: small lots, reasonable max volume, and enable drawdown protection if you want a hard risk limit.
4) Test on demo first to confirm broker conditions (spread, commissions, margin) and your risk tolerance.
Important notes
Phoenix Trend MT4 manages risk mainly at the basket/account level. Grid/DCA can require sufficient margin and patience during adverse moves. Use only if you understand and accept floating drawdown and the possibility of extreme outcomes.
