Terminal Link Trade Copier copies trades from one MetaTrader 5 terminal to others running on the same computer. The master writes its positions to a file in the shared terminal folder several times per second and the slaves read it and copy. It needs no internet service, no DLL and no web requests.
One utility, two roles
- Master - publishes its positions, and optionally its pending orders, on a channel name. You can publish only some symbols or magic numbers.
- Slave - reads the same channel and keeps its copies in line with the master.
- Several channels can run at once, and one master can feed several slaves.
What is copied
- New positions, and the close of a copy when the master closes.
- Partial closes, in proportion.
- Stop loss and take profit changes: same price, same distance from the entry, or not copied.
- Pending orders (optional, hedging accounts).
- Reverse copy (optional).
Lot size
- Same lot, master lot times a multiplier, fixed lot, or balance ratio between the accounts.
- Maximum lot per copy and adjustment for a different contract size.
Different brokers
- Remove or add a symbol prefix or suffix, for example EURUSDm on the master and EURUSD on the slave.
- Explicit map for different names, for example XAUUSD=GOLD.
- Automatic match when only one symbol fits.
Safety
- If the master stops sending, the slave keeps its copies unchanged and shows MASTER OFFLINE.
- A copy is closed only after its source is missing from several snapshots, so a slow file write never closes a trade by mistake.
- Each copy is tagged with the channel and the source ticket. After a restart the records are rebuilt from the open positions and the deal history, so nothing is opened twice.
- Signals older than a set age and prices that moved too far can be skipped.
- Copies opened before the slave started are not copied unless you ask for it.
- Stops level and freeze level are respected; rejected requests are retried with a pause.
Panel
Master: positions published, heartbeat and last write. Slave: master status with the heartbeat age, master balance, copy settings, a table of copies with the master lot and the copy lot, the last actions and the last error, and buttons to close all copies (two clicks) and to pause.
Strategy Tester
The tester has no second terminal, so the utility runs both roles in the same test: it opens demo source positions (no strategy), moves their stop, closes half and then the rest, and the slave part copies each step. Their profit or loss means nothing. The copies need a hedging account. On a live or demo account it never opens trades by itself; it only copies the master.
Limits
All terminals must run on the same computer and under the same Windows user. Prices and execution can differ between brokers. Volume added to a master position is not copied, only reductions.
