DrawDown Limiter v5.0 è un controller di protezione del conto lato client, progettato per monitorare il tuo conto di trading e reagire automaticamente quando vengono raggiunti i limiti configurati relativi a rischio, profitto, notizie, pianificazione, rollover o numero di posizioni.

Può monitorare operazioni manuali, strategie automatizzate, più Expert Advisor, ordini pendenti e posizioni aperte da un unico grafico dedicato. Può proteggere l’intero conto oppure essere configurato per monitorare uno specifico EA o un gruppo di EA utilizzando i Magic Number.

L’obiettivo di DrawDown Limiter non è semplicemente mostrare il drawdown. Il suo scopo è applicare attivamente le regole di trading configurate e continuare ad applicarle finché una condizione di protezione rimane attiva.

DrawDown Limiter v5.0 è progettato per controllare non solo quanto stai perdendo, ma anche quando le tue strategie possono continuare a operare, quale esposizione può rimanere aperta, quando il trading deve essere interrotto e quando il tuo ambiente automatizzato può riprendere a operare in sicurezza.

Un sistema di protezione unificato

DrawDown Limiter v5.0 introduce una risposta di protezione unificata. A seconda della configurazione, quando viene attivata una condizione di protezione, l’EA può:

  • Attivare un segnale condiviso di blocco dei nuovi ingressi per gli Expert Advisor compatibili.
  • Isolare i grafici locali delle strategie prima di chiudere le operazioni.
  • Eliminare gli ordini pendenti protetti.
  • Chiudere le posizioni protette oppure mantenere soltanto l’esposizione già esistente prima dell’attivazione della protezione.
  • Continuare a rimuovere la nuova esposizione finché la protezione rimane attiva.
  • Mettere in quarantena i nuovi grafici delle strategie aperti durante la protezione.
  • Ripristinare automaticamente i grafici acquisiti quando tutte le condizioni di protezione sono state rimosse in sicurezza.

Chiudere i grafici delle strategie prima delle posizioni è particolarmente importante quando altri EA sono in esecuzione sullo stesso terminale: aiuta a impedire che una strategia riapra immediatamente una posizione appena chiusa da DrawDown Limiter.

Condizioni di protezione

DrawDown Limiter v5.0 può attivare la protezione per diversi motivi indipendenti:

  • Drawdown giornaliero massimo
  • Drawdown massimo del conto
  • Profitto massimo del conto
  • Obiettivo di profitto giornaliero
  • Protezione Breakeven
  • Protezione Rollover
  • Protezione programmata
  • Protezione durante le notizie economiche
  • Protezione durante festività ed eventi di un’intera giornata
  • Numero massimo di posizioni aperte
  • Numero massimo di posizioni aperte durante l’intervallo di trading corrente

Più cause di protezione possono essere attive contemporaneamente. L’EA non disattiva la protezione semplicemente perché una singola condizione non è più presente. La protezione completa rimane attiva finché tutte le cause di protezione attive non sono state correttamente eliminate.

Drawdown giornaliero — Scegli come viene realmente calcolato il tuo rischio

Diversi programmi di trading e diverse regole del conto possono calcolare il drawdown giornaliero in modi differenti. Per questo DrawDown Limiter v5.0 separa il riferimento del rischio giornaliero dal metodo utilizzato per misurare la perdita corrente.

Opzioni di riferimento del rischio giornaliero:

  • Deposito iniziale
  • Balance del conto all’inizio dell’intervallo
  • Equity del conto all’inizio dell’intervallo
  • Il valore più alto tra Equity e Balance
  • Rischio fisso nella valuta del conto

Metodi di monitoraggio del drawdown giornaliero:

  • Open And Closed Positions — combina il P/L negativo delle operazioni chiuse dall’ultimo reset con il P/L flottante corrente.
  • Start-Of-Range Equity — misura la diminuzione rispetto all’Equity registrata all’inizio dell’intervallo di protezione corrente.
  • High-Water Equity — monitora il livello di Equity più alto raggiunto durante l’intervallo e misura il drawdown a partire da quel massimo.

Swap e commissioni possono essere inclusi nei calcoli quando necessario.

Questa flessibilità consente di configurare DrawDown Limiter in base alla formula di drawdown effettivamente richiesta, invece di imporre lo stesso metodo di calcolo a tutti i conti.

Ciclo di reset giornaliero flessibile

Una giornata di trading non viene necessariamente resettata a mezzanotte secondo l’orario del tuo computer o persino secondo l’orario del server del broker.

DrawDown Limiter può definire l’intervallo di protezione utilizzando:

  • Daily Bar Open
  • Broker Server Time
  • Configured Time Zone

La modalità Configured Time Zone supporta un offset UTC standard fisso insieme, opzionalmente, alle regole dell’ora legale europee o statunitensi.

L’intervallo selezionato controlla il reset dei calcoli del drawdown giornaliero, degli obiettivi giornalieri, dello stato Breakeven, delle programmazioni e dei contatori delle posizioni dell’intervallo.

Chart Vault — Isola, proteggi e ripristina le tue strategie

Una delle principali novità di DrawDown Limiter v5.0 è Chart Vault.

Quando la protezione dei grafici è abilitata, DrawDown Limiter può acquisire i grafici delle strategie idonee prima di chiuderli. Le informazioni salvate includono simbolo, timeframe, configurazione del grafico e dati del template necessari per riaprire successivamente il grafico.

Durante un evento di protezione attivo, Chart Vault può:

  • Salvare i grafici delle strategie idonee.
  • Chiudere questi grafici prima che vengano chiuse le posizioni protette.
  • Mantenere in esecuzione il controller DrawDown Limiter.
  • Mettere in quarantena i nuovi grafici delle strategie mentre la protezione rimane attiva.
  • Monitorare i grafici acquisiti, chiusi, ripristinati e quelli per cui il ripristino non è riuscito.

Con Close + Restore Charts, i grafici salvati possono essere riaperti automaticamente quando tutte le cause di protezione sono state eliminate, il nuovo intervallo è valido e il sistema conferma che il ripristino può essere effettuato in sicurezza.

È inoltre disponibile la modalità Manual Reopen se preferisci decidere manualmente quando ripristinare i grafici acquisiti.

Scegli cosa accade alle posizioni esistenti

La protezione non deve necessariamente significare la chiusura di tutte le posizioni. La versione v5.0 offre due modalità principali di risposta sulle operazioni:

  • Close Protected Trades — chiude ripetutamente le posizioni e rimuove gli ordini pendenti all’interno dell’ambito configurato finché la protezione rimane attiva.
  • Keep Pre-Existing Exposure — mantiene l’esposizione già esistente al momento dell’attivazione della protezione, eliminando gli ordini pendenti e impedendo il mantenimento di nuova esposizione aggiuntiva.

Questo consente a restrizioni temporanee, come quelle relative alle notizie o agli orari programmati, di impedire nuove esposizioni permettendo allo stesso tempo a una posizione già esistente di continuare a essere gestita quando le tue regole di trading lo consentono.

Obiettivo di profitto giornaliero

DrawDown Limiter non si limita alla protezione dalle perdite.

Un Daily Profit Target può essere definito come:

  • Una percentuale del riferimento giornaliero, oppure
  • Un importo fisso nella valuta del conto.

Quando l’obiettivo viene raggiunto, puoi scegliere tra:

  • Notify Only, oppure
  • Activate Protection Until Reset.

Questa funzione può essere utilizzata per applicare un obiettivo giornaliero di trading e interrompere ulteriori operazioni una volta raggiunto il risultato desiderato per l’intervallo corrente.

Protezione Breakeven

La versione v5.0 introduce anche Breakeven Protection.

Puoi configurare un risultato giornaliero positivo al raggiungimento del quale la protezione Breakeven viene armata. Se successivamente il risultato del trading ritorna al livello di breakeven, DrawDown Limiter attiva la risposta di protezione configurata.

Ad esempio, il sistema può armare la protezione dopo un inizio di giornata profittevole e proteggere il conto se successivamente tutto il profitto accumulato viene restituito al mercato.

Protezione del profitto massimo del conto

Un livello separato di Maximum Account Profit può essere configurato come obiettivo globale per l’intero conto.

Quando viene raggiunto il livello di profitto configurato, DrawDown Limiter attiva la risposta di protezione completa e impedisce la continuazione del trading con quella configurazione.

Questa funzione è indipendente dal Daily Profit Target ed è destinata agli obiettivi applicabili all’intero conto piuttosto che a una singola giornata di trading.

Protezione durante le notizie

DrawDown Limiter v5.0 può attivare automaticamente la protezione in prossimità di eventi economici selezionati.

A seconda della piattaforma e della configurazione, le fonti di notizie supportate includono MQL5 Economic Calendar, Forex Factory e Investing.com.

La protezione durante le notizie può essere filtrata utilizzando:

  • Valute selezionate
  • Eventi a basso, medio e alto impatto
  • Parole chiave degli eventi da includere
  • Parole chiave degli eventi da escludere
  • Minuti prima di un evento
  • Minuti dopo un evento
  • Protezione durante le festività
  • Protezione durante gli eventi di un’intera giornata

Quando diventa attiva una restrizione relativa alle notizie che soddisfa i criteri configurati, viene utilizzato lo stesso sistema configurabile di protezione delle operazioni e dei grafici previsto per le altre condizioni di protezione completa.

Se la protezione durante le notizie è abilitata e la fonte configurata non è in grado di fornire dati affidabili, DrawDown Limiter utilizza un approccio fail-closed anziché presumere che sia sicuro operare.

Protezione programmata

DrawDown Limiter può attivare automaticamente la protezione a un orario programmato secondo il server del broker.

La programmazione può essere eseguita:

  • Ogni giorno, oppure
  • In un giorno specifico della settimana.

Una volta attivata, la risposta di protezione selezionata rimane attiva fino all’inizio del successivo intervallo giornaliero valido.

Questa funzione può essere utile quando la tua strategia deve interrompere il trading prima di una specifica fase di mercato, del rollover, del weekend o di un altro orario predefinito.

Zona di sicurezza Rollover

Una giornata di trading profittevole può nascondere una significativa perdita flottante che diventa pericolosa immediatamente dopo il reset giornaliero.

La Rollover Security Zone è progettata specificamente per gestire questa situazione.

Durante il numero configurato di minuti prima del successivo reset giornaliero, DrawDown Limiter può imporre una perdita flottante massima espressa come percentuale del limite di rischio giornaliero.

Se la perdita flottante raggiunge questo limite di rollover, viene attivata la protezione completa prima che il conto entri nel successivo intervallo di trading.

Protezione dall’overtrading — Senza chiudere le operazioni consentite

DrawDown Limiter offre due controlli indipendenti sul numero di posizioni:

  • Numero massimo di posizioni aperte simultaneamente
  • Numero massimo di posizioni aperte durante l’intervallo corrente

A differenza di un evento di protezione completa per drawdown, la protezione basata sul numero di posizioni utilizza un sistema excess-only control.

Le posizioni che si trovano già entro il limite consentito rimangono aperte e i grafici delle strategie restano disponibili. Viene rimossa soltanto l’esposizione aggiuntiva o eccedente, mentre le posizioni valide possono continuare a essere gestite.

Anche gli ordini pendenti che potrebbero causare il superamento dell’esposizione consentita possono essere eliminati.

Avvisi di rischio per le nuove operazioni

DrawDown Limiter può analizzare le nuove posizioni rilevate e fornire avvisi informativi quando:

  • Un’operazione non dispone di uno Stop Loss visibile.
  • Il rischio stimato supera una percentuale configurata del Balance.
  • Il rischio stimato supera una percentuale configurata dell’Equity.
  • Il rischio stimato supera un importo monetario fisso configurato.

Questi controlli sono soltanto avvisi. Non modificano l’operazione e non aggiungono automaticamente uno Stop Loss.

Proteggi l’intero conto o singole strategie

DrawDown Limiter supporta tre ambiti di monitoraggio:

  • All Trades
  • One EA Magic Number
  • Multiple EA Magic Numbers

Questo permette di creare una struttura di protezione del portafoglio a più livelli.

Ad esempio, un’istanza principale di DrawDown Limiter può proteggere l’intero conto, mentre istanze aggiuntive monitorano budget di rischio più piccoli assegnati a singoli Expert Advisor o gruppi di strategie.

Il controller principale del conto continua a monitorare l’intero portafoglio anche quando vengono configurati limiti separati per singole strategie.

Dashboard avanzata di protezione

La versione v5.0 introduce una dashboard di protezione adattiva progettata per mostrare lo stato del conto e del sistema di protezione attivo, anziché limitarsi a visualizzare singoli indicatori.

La dashboard fornisce informazioni tra cui:

  • Stato corrente della protezione
  • Performance del conto
  • Margine rimanente prima del limite di perdita
  • Drawdown giornaliero utilizzato e rimanente
  • Avanzamento del profitto giornaliero e del profitto complessivo del conto
  • Prossimo evento di protezione
  • Conto alla rovescia fino al reset giornaliero
  • Stato della protezione durante le notizie
  • Stato della protezione Rollover
  • Limiti delle posizioni aperte e delle posizioni dell’intervallo
  • Azioni selezionate per operazioni e grafici
  • Stato di Chart Vault
  • Attività di protezione recente

La dashboard si adatta automaticamente tra layout ampio, standard, compatto e minimo in base alle dimensioni disponibili del grafico.

Controlli diretti dalla dashboard

La dashboard di protezione offre inoltre controlli operativi, tra cui:

  • PAUSE per le protezioni temporanee e i controlli informativi che possono essere messi in pausa.
  • CLOSE ALL per una chiusura di emergenza una tantum dell’esposizione gestita.
  • Regolazione temporanea della percentuale di drawdown giornaliero.
  • Regolazione temporanea del numero massimo di posizioni dell’intervallo.
  • Selezione dell’azione sulle operazioni.
  • Selezione dell’azione sui grafici.
  • Attivazione o disattivazione delle notifiche Push ed Email.
  • Controllo della protezione automatica programmata.
  • Ripristino manuale dei grafici quando applicabile.

Le modifiche temporanee effettuate dalla dashboard non sovrascrivono automaticamente i parametri salvati dell’EA. Quando l’EA viene ricaricato, le impostazioni temporanee ritornano ai valori configurati negli input, mentre lo stato persistente della protezione rimane conservato.

Stato di protezione persistente

Un evento di protezione non viene annullato semplicemente rimuovendo e ricaricando l’EA o riavviando MetaTrader.

DrawDown Limiter conserva informazioni importanti relative allo stato di protezione e all’intervallo corrente, quindi normalmente non è possibile aggirare una restrizione attiva semplicemente riavviando l’EA.

Se le informazioni relative alla persistenza o alla transizione tra gli intervalli diventano invalide, il sistema è progettato per utilizzare un approccio fail closed e mantenere la protezione finché non viene recuperato uno stato valido.

Una procedura protetta Start Fresh è disponibile quando desideri eliminare intenzionalmente un vecchio stato del limiter e inizializzare un intervallo di protezione completamente nuovo.

Integrazione per sviluppatori

DrawDown Limiter può pubblicare una MetaTrader Global Variable condivisa che gli Expert Advisor compatibili possono controllare prima di tentare un nuovo ingresso.

Gli sviluppatori possono integrare direttamente questo meccanismo di blocco degli ingressi nei propri EA, consentendo alle strategie di collaborare con DrawDown Limiter invece di attendere che una nuova posizione venga prima aperta e successivamente rilevata e rimossa da DrawDown Limiter.

Supporto FIFO

Per i conti che richiedono il rispetto delle regole FIFO, DrawDown Limiter offre modalità configurabili di chiusura FIFO, incluso il supporto per chiusure parziali quando applicabile.

Notifiche

Gli eventi di protezione possono essere segnalati tramite:

  • Dashboard e log del terminale
  • Notifiche Push di MetaTrader
  • Notifiche Email
  • Push ed Email contemporaneamente

Progettato per conti finanziati e gestione personale del rischio

DrawDown Limiter può essere configurato sia per le rigide regole dei conti finanziati sia per la gestione disciplinata del rischio su un conto di trading personale.

Il modello di protezione integrato può adattarsi a diversi:

  • Metodi di calcolo della perdita giornaliera
  • Limiti complessivi di perdita del conto
  • Obiettivi di profitto
  • Fusi orari per il reset giornaliero
  • Restrizioni relative alle notizie
  • Limiti delle posizioni
  • Requisiti di rollover
  • Budget di rischio specifici per ciascun EA

È quindi possibile creare configurazioni predefinite per diversi programmi di trading mantenendo al tempo stesso un margine di sicurezza tra il livello di attivazione di DrawDown Limiter e il limite esterno del conto.

Importante — Comprendere il modello di protezione

DrawDown Limiter è un controller MetaTrader lato client.

Osserva lo stato visibile al terminale e quindi applica la risposta di protezione configurata. Non può obbligare un broker a rifiutare un ordine prima che questo venga accettato dal broker.

Le operazioni inviate tramite un’applicazione mobile, Web Terminal, API, servizio di segnali, trade copier, un altro terminale MetaTrader o un altro sistema esterno non possono essere controllate prima che diventino visibili nel terminale su cui è in esecuzione DrawDown Limiter.

L’EA non può inoltre intervenire quando il terminale MetaTrader è chiuso, disconnesso, bloccato o impossibilitato a eseguire operazioni.

Per questo motivo, configura un adeguato margine di sicurezza tra le soglie di DrawDown Limiter e qualsiasi limite esterno rigido. Latenza di esecuzione, spread, slippage, commissioni, swap e movimenti rapidi del mercato possono influenzare il prezzo finale e il tempo di chiusura.

Configurazione consigliata

Per ottenere la massima protezione locale del conto:

  1. Esegui DrawDown Limiter su un grafico dedicato.
  2. Utilizza l’ambito All Trades per proteggere l’intero conto.
  3. Configura il reset giornaliero e il metodo di calcolo del drawdown in base alle regole effettive del tuo conto.
  4. Utilizza Close Protected Trades quando è necessario eliminare l’esposizione.
  5. Utilizza Close + Restore Charts quando le strategie automatizzate locali devono essere isolate durante la protezione.
  6. Configura un margine di sicurezza al di sotto di qualsiasi limite esterno massimo di perdita.
  7. Testa l’intero processo, dall’attivazione della protezione al ripristino, su un conto demo prima di utilizzarlo su un conto reale.

Yesterday I downloaded the new version and couldn’t get it set up correctly. I received incredible support from Lionel, who always responded very quickly. I've been running v5.0 on a prop account. The name makes it sound like a simple drawdown counter — it isn't. Nothing else in this class on MQL5 comes close. Your firm's formula, not a generic one. Every prop firm calculates daily loss differently: from the initial deposit, from the balance at the start of the day, from the intraday equity high. Here the reference base and the measurement method are separate inputs, so you can reproduce your own rules exactly. The documentation includes ready-made presets for several firms. Your EA can't reopen what was just closed. The sequence is thought through: pending orders are deleted first, then the strategy chart is closed along with the EA, and only then the positions. Charts come back automatically once protection clears — after a short news window, right when it ends. No DLL — works on MQL5 VPS. DLL imports are not allowed on MQL5 VPS, so tools that kill algo trading through external libraries are useless there. This one works through the platform itself. No separate Windows VPS needed. The midnight zone. You close the day in profit, but one position is sitting in the red. At the reset your profit resets to zero and that floating loss eats straight into the new day's limit — a breach at 00:01 after a clean day. The tool closes such a position before that happens. News. The window before and after an event is configurable; I run three minutes on each side. Filters by currency, impact level and keywords. If the calendar feed is unavailable, entries are blocked rather than assumed safe. A restart won't bypass it. Triggered protection survives detaching the EA and restarting the terminal. Exactly what you want during an evaluation. Buffers instead of exact numbers. The presets trigger slightly before the published limits: by the time the terminal sees the loss and sends the close, you've added latency, spread and slippage. That buffer is the difference between "almost made it" and an account that's still alive. The documentation covers every input and the common failure cases, and the author is responsive and genuinely improves the product based on user feedback. A versatile tool for beginners and experienced traders alike — from strict prop rules to plain discipline on your own account. Set it up once and you won't want to trade without it. I've been running v5.0 on a prop account. The name makes it sound like a simple drawdown counter — it isn't. Nothing else in this class on MQL5 comes close. Your firm's formula, not a generic one. Every prop firm calculates daily loss differently: from the initial deposit, from the balance at the start of the day, from the intraday equity high. Here the reference base and the measurement method are separate inputs, so you can reproduce your own rules exactly. The documentation includes ready-made presets for several firms. Your EA can't reopen what was just closed. The sequence is thought through: pending orders are deleted first, then the strategy chart is closed along with the EA, and only then the positions. Charts come back automatically once protection clears — after a short news window, right when it ends. No DLL — works on MQL5 VPS. DLL imports are not allowed on MQL5 VPS, so tools that kill algo trading through external libraries are useless there. This one works through the platform itself. No separate Windows VPS needed. The midnight zone. You close the day in profit, but one position is sitting in the red. At the reset your profit resets to zero and that floating loss eats straight into the new day's limit — a breach at 00:01 after a clean day. The tool closes such a position before that happens. News. The window before and after an event is configurable; I run three minutes on each side. Filters by currency, impact level and keywords. If the calendar feed is unavailable, entries are blocked rather than assumed safe. A restart won't bypass it. Triggered protection survives detaching the EA and restarting the terminal. Exactly what you want during an evaluation. Buffers instead of exact numbers. The presets trigger slightly before the published limits: by the time the terminal sees the loss and sends the close, you've added latency, spread and slippage. That buffer is the difference between "almost made it" and an account that's still alive. The documentation covers every input and the common failure cases, and the author is responsive and genuinely improves the product based on user feedback. A versatile tool for beginners and experienced traders alike — from strict prop rules to plain discipline on your own account. Set it up once and you won't want to trade without it. Buy it, you won't regret it.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Haven't used DrawDown Limiter on a live account yet, but it seems to be working great! It seems reliable and trustworthy. Lio has obviously worked on it a lot and thought about all scenarios and different prop firm requirements. The EA is highly customizable to fit any needs. Yet simple to understand and intuitive. Documentation for it is great as well, complete with videos and FAQ. Like it was mentioned, I got the free Algo Trading Disabler for free right away. The communication with Lio was really good and he genuinely seems to care and take suggestions into account. All in all, you can confidently buy this EA if you're considering it.
