The ATR Scanner is a high-performance analytical tool designed to visualize current volatility and assess potential price movement during a trading session. The indicator calculates the average daily movement (ADR/ATR) for any trading instrument: from classic currency pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD.fx) to cryptocurrencies (#Bitcoin) and indices.
Basic Concept --- The indicator is based on the metaphor of a trader's "fuel tank." Understanding how much of its average movement an instrument has already completed allows you to avoid entering trades when market momentum is depleted and find points with mathematically justified profit potential.
Informative in Detail --- The indicator not only changes color but also displays the exact number of remaining pips before the average limit is exhausted in parentheses. If the price breaks beyond the statistical movement, the ATR Scanner displays negative values, signaling abnormal movement (extreme volatility). Configurable parameters:
ATR Period: Select the number of days for averaging the movement.
Visual Settings: Adjust the font size and display increment for maximum comfort on monitors of any resolution.
Color Scheme: Displays a full movement in green, half a movement in black, and less than 10% of the movement in red.
ATR Scanner is your dashboard that will promptly tell you whether it's worth opening a position or whether the "fuel" for movement is running low.
Fuel Tank Status: Indicator Color: Meaning for the Trader
Full (Green) High movement potential, enough "fuel" for profit.
50% of Movement (Black) Warning: The instrument has traveled half of the average distance.
10% or less (Red) The market is overbought/oversold relative to the day. Critical zone.
