1. Product Overview
Universal Confluence EA MT5 is a multi-symbol, multi-timeframe Expert Advisor that scans your Market Watch and automatically selects the best trade opportunities using a confluence scoring model.
Instead of relying on a single indicator, the EA combines trend, structure, volatility, market levels, and trigger behavior. Each symbol is analyzed, scored, and ranked. The EA then prioritizes only the highest-quality candidates per scan cycle to reduce overtrading.
Timeframe workflow used by the strategy:
-
D1: trend direction
-
H4: setup context and zone definition
-
H1: structure and volatility reference
-
M15: execution trigger
How to use it
Add all the Symbols (Forex, Crypto, Metals, Indices) in the Market watch. Open only one Chart window, drag and drop the Expert adviser in the chart window. Enable Algo trading. Make sure Algo trading is enabled. The bot analyze all the symbols added in the market watch and open trades for the best setup selected.
2. How the EA Selects Trades (Confluence Engine)
For every symbol, the EA builds a trade plan only when confirmations align. The “core” checks focus on context and validity:
2.1 Trend filter (D1 + H4)
-
EMA alignment on D1 and H4
-
D1 EMA slope confirmation (trend must be consistent, not flat)
2.2 Setup zone (H4 impulse Fibonacci)
-
Fib zone is calculated from the latest H4 impulse leg
-
Primary zone levels: 50% and 61.8%
2.3 Structure proximity (H4 / H1 swings)
-
Structure is detected using fractal swing points
-
The EA prefers trades near meaningful swing areas instead of random entries
2.4 Trigger execution (M15)
The EA requires an entry trigger signal on M15 (price action trigger candle).
If enabled, it can also require that price has touched the Fibonacci zone recently before allowing the trigger.
2.5 Spread and spread-to-volatility filters
The EA applies spread filters and spread-to-ATR filtering with asset-class awareness (Forex, Metals, Crypto, Indices, Commodities).
3. Score Boosters (Optional Quality Enhancers)
If enabled, additional score is added when high-quality behaviors appear. These boosters do not replace the core logic; they improve ranking:
-
BOS detection with optional retest confirmation (M15)
-
Volume spike detection (relative to recent average)
-
Liquidity sweep behavior near recent structure
-
EMA zone proximity (EMA20 / EMA50 area)
-
Session VWAP proximity
-
Daily Pivot proximity
-
Strong trigger candle strength
4. Risk Management and Trade Handling
This EA is designed to stay active while still enforcing strict risk controls.
4.1 Lot sizing (equity-based baseline + capped risk)
-
Equity-based baseline lot sizing is supported (configurable)
-
Dynamic lot sizing can be used (Normal/Premium multipliers)
-
Maximum lot caps are enforced to avoid excessive volume
4.2 Hard money-risk cap at Stop Loss
A strict safety cap limits the maximum potential loss at SL per trade as a percentage of equity:
-
MaxSLRiskPercent (default shown in the EA: 15%)
Even if other risk settings request larger exposure, the EA will reduce lot size to respect this cap.
4.3 Stop Loss and Take Profit logic (RR fixed)
Trade planning uses “nearest valid” SL placement while respecting broker stop distance rules.
Reward model is fixed to Risk:Reward = 1:3:
-
TP1 = 2R (used for partial close logic if enabled)
-
TP2 = 3R (final target)
4.4 Trade management options
-
Partial close at a profit milestone (default behavior targets TP1 at 2R)
-
Optional move SL to breakeven after partial close
-
Optional trailing stop after breakeven
5. Multi-Symbol Execution and Overtrading Control
The EA analyzes all eligible Market Watch symbols (or a custom symbol list if provided), ranks candidates, and only executes the best opportunities.
Key controls:
-
Maximum open positions (global cap)
-
Per-cycle opening limit
-
A strict internal cap that prioritizes quality (best trades only)
This approach is built to avoid opening too many low-quality trades across many symbols.
6. Best Use Cases
This EA is suitable for traders who want:
-
A systematic confluence-based approach (not single-indicator entries)
-
Multi-asset scanning with spread/volatility filtering
-
Strict control of maximum loss per trade using a hard SL risk cap
-
A strategy that ranks and selects the best setups instead of trading everything
