We INSIST on a very important point here:
DO NOT STOP THE EA IF YOU WANT TO BENEFIT FROM IT FOR AT LEAST A MONTH if it stays in its keys drawdown metrics.
This is Why

1. If you stop it because of an apparent bad streak of losses,YOU ARE SURE TO MISS THE NEXT STREAK OF WINSand hence will get out the statistical consistency of the expected returns.
2. Because you have stopped it, then you will wait the next streak of Wins to relaunch it. But then you will have MISSED THEM of course and could statistically enter another streak of losses.
This is exactly what NOT to do.
Just LET IT ROLL and monitor its key metrics:Average returns and average Drawdowns.
Let the EMOTIONS OUT.
👉 However with this document you will understand also that some dates of launch are MORE SATISFYING AND PROFITABLE than others.
Not because of bad luck but very logically because if you enter AFTER a streak of wins you have a probability to enter streak of losses just by the law of reversion to the mean of any statistical series.
You now understand better algo-trading in its core and why trustworthy backtests are so important to monitor algos.
