Supervisor Risk Copilot is a risk manager for MetaTrader 5 traders. It does not promise profits. It helps you avoid the mistakes that make most retail traders lose money: costs they do not see, trading at the wrong moment, and grids that keep buying into a falling market.
Everything below comes from a documented research lab (more than 250 backtests with real ticks, out-of-sample exams and a live demo forward test). We publish what worked and what did not.
What It Does
1. Protect my manual orders (CANCEL)
You place a ladder of buy-limit or sell-limit orders by hand. If a closed M15 bar breaks beyond your 2nd level, the Copilot cancels the remaining pending orders on that side, so you stop adding positions into a breakout. Positions already open keep their own SL/TP; the other side is not touched. One switch in the Grid tab (off by default).
In our tests the same rule cut the losses of a grid strategy roughly in half and lowered its drawdown in three independent out-of-sample checks (new currency pairs and years it never saw).
2. Journal: your win rate vs. the win rate you need
For your manual trades on the chart symbol (last 30, 90 or 365 days) it shows win rate, average win and loss, total costs (commission, fees, swap) and the breakeven win rate implied by your average win/loss. If your win rate is below it, you lose money even before costs, and no filter fixes that. This one number explained most of the losses we studied.
3. Session and cost warnings
- Monday open: spreads right after the weekly open are often 10-30 pips wide.
- Rollover (23:00-00:59 server time).
- Abnormal spread: current spread 3x or more above its recent median.
- Cost/target: spread plus commission as a percentage of the distance to your take profit.
Warnings only: nothing is blocked.
4. Risk tools
Position size from your risk % and stop distance (commission included), a daily loss limit, and a built-in grid with a hard basket stop (the stop was respected within 1.25x of the planned loss in all our tests).
5. Demo Pilot (for learning)
An optional automated mode for demo accounts, so you can watch the rules working. We do not claim it is profitable: in our tests no automated variant was profitable after real costs.
Main Inputs
- InpManualCancel (false): protect my manual orders (CANCEL).
- InpManualCancelLevel (2): level of your ladder that counts as a break (2-10).
- InpRiskPct: risk per trade, % of balance.
- InpMaxDailyLossPct: daily loss limit, % of balance.
- InpCommissionPerLot: your broker's round-turn commission, used in lot size and cost warnings.
- InpCostWarnPct: warn when costs exceed this % of the target.
- InpGridBasketLossPct: grid basket stop, % of balance.
- InpMode: Supervisor (draw and warn), Semi-automatic (confirm each signal) or Demo Pilot.
Notes
- Works on hedging accounts. The grid is not available on netting accounts.
- Manual orders are those with magic number 0 on the chart symbol. The Copilot never closes your positions on its own.
- After a break, if older positions on the same side are still open, new pending orders on that side are cancelled too, because the side is still broken. Close or manage those positions first.
- Trading involves risk. Past test results do not guarantee future results.
