1. What Supreme Pressure Signals Is

Supreme Pressure Signals is an indicator for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. It marks a signal against a burst beyond an ATR band that has stalled, rated from 0 to 10. It maps pressure clusters and session ranges, draws a ticket with an entry, a stop and three targets, and adds a dashboard.

It does not place trades and has no access to your account. The stop and the targets are reference levels, not a forecast. The trading guide explains how to read it.

2. Installation

The steps are the same on both platforms, and nothing is copied by hand. Each platform is a separate product.

  1. Buy or rent the indicator on its MQL5 Market page with your MQL5 account.
  2. In MetaTrader, log in to the same account (Tools > Options > Community).
  3. Open the Toolbox (Ctrl+T; the Terminal window on MetaTrader 4), go to the Market tab, find it under Purchased and click Install.
  4. In the Navigator (Ctrl+N), open Indicators, then Market, and drag it onto a chart.
  5. Change anything you want on the Inputs tab and click OK. Change an input later with Ctrl+I on the chart.

It runs on any symbol and timeframe from M1 to monthly, needs no DLL, no internet access and no files, and removes everything it drew when you remove it.

On attaching, it calculates the newest 20,000 bars (Bars To Calculate) before it draws. A chart with fewer bars uses all it has; the terminal's limit is in Tools > Options > Charts, Max bars in chart.

3. What You See on the Chart

Figure 1. The indicator on a MetaTrader chart: signal labels, pressure clusters, session ranges, a ticket and the dashboard.

LONG and SHORT labels (hover one for its readings), cluster bubbles with a score from 1 to 10, session ranges, tickets and the dashboard, which the trading guide goes through row by row. A ticket's labels sit 18 bars past the signal (UNIVERSAL zone width).

4. When Things Are Calculated

  • On the closed bar: signals are decided on the closed bar, as are their tickets, session ranges and a time stop. A bar counts as closed when the next bar's first tick arrives.
  • On the forming bar: the dashboard moves with every tick. A target, a stop and cluster events count on the touch and can change until the bar closes. The bar is worked out at most four times a second, then once more when it closes.
  • Again from the start: when older history is scrolled into the chart, or after a gap of more than 1,000 new bars. No alert is sent for bars calculated again.

5. Inputs

There are 160 inputs in 10 groups. On MetaTrader 4 each group starts with a separator line, a label that changes nothing. A value outside its allowed range is held at the nearest end of it.

6. Setting Up Alerts

  1. Choose the conditions. Long and Short are on by default.
  2. Choose the channels: pop-up, sound, push and e-mail. The pop-up is on by default.
  3. Sound: switch it on and name a .wav file from the Sounds folder of the terminal's installation folder.
  4. Push notification: in Tools > Options > Notifications, enable push notifications, enter the MetaQuotes ID shown in the MetaTrader app on your phone and click Test; then switch the channel on. A message is cut at 255 characters.
  5. E-mail: in Tools > Options > Email, enable e-mail, enter your mail server, login, password and addresses and click Test; then switch the channel on. The subject names the indicator, the condition, the symbol and the timeframe.
  6. Test: Test Alerts on Start checks all of this without waiting for a signal. Every change of an input sends one more, so switch it off afterwards.

Alert Frequency. Once Per Bar (the default) sends the first time a condition is true on a bar. Once Per Bar Close sends only at the close. Only Once sends the first time per alert, until the indicator reloads. Once Per Minute sends at most once a minute per alert. Time Stop Exit waits for the close whatever this says.

Signals, extreme bursts, ranges and the time stop fire at the close; stops, targets and cluster events on the touch, on a forming bar, so a later tick can change what fired. Nothing fires for history or in the Strategy Tester, and attaching in the middle of a bar counts what is already true on it as sent. The drawing switches change what you see, not what fires.

A message starts with the indicator's name and ends with the symbol and timeframe:

7. Bars To Calculate, Pin Labels and the Broker's Clock

Bars To Calculate (20,000 by default; 0 = the whole chart) sets where history starts. A lower setting starts faster, and it can change the earliest signals and the dashboard's counts, because each signal depends on the trades before it.

Pin Labels Inside Chart (off by default). A ticket's labels can sit past the last bar, so give the chart room on the right with the chart shift. Switched on, while the last bar is on screen, it compresses the space after that bar so they stay inside the chart.

Broker server time zone (Auto by default). It turns your broker's clock, which MetaTrader's bars carry, into the Timezone the windows read. GMT+2 or GMT+3 is taken as the New York close clock, which moves with New York's daylight saving; any other difference is used as it stands. Without a connection, and in the Strategy Tester, it assumes the New York close clock.

8. MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4: How the Drawing Works

The drawing is one image with real transparency, following every scroll and zoom. MetaTrader 4 draws on the terminal's interface thread, so it repaints the forming bar at most once a second; a new bar is repainted at once.

9. Troubleshooting

Nothing appears for a while. It works through every bar before it draws. A lower Bars To Calculate is faster.

The ticket's labels are off the right edge. Use the chart shift or Pin Labels Inside Chart.

Session times look off. Set Broker server time zone to your broker's clock, then check Timezone: NY and LON both read New York time by default.

No session boxes. They need an intraday chart. A range shorter than the bar draws nothing: on H1 only LON's default range can fill a bar.

The dashboard is cut off. Choose Small or Tiny, or hide rows.

The MTF row is empty. The other timeframes' bars have not arrived. It tries again once a second.

No alerts arrive. Check the condition's switch, Alert minimum stars and a channel. Alerts fire only for bars closing, or touches happening, while it runs. Push and e-mail also need Tools > Options. Test Alerts on Start checks them.

A burst pokes through but no signal. See the Status row: it needs a peak at the minimum stack, no open trade, the spacing and your filters.

The targets are not at 1, 2 and 3 R. Pressure Ladder uses clusters. Choose R Multiples for plain distances.

No bubbles on older bars. Clusters are built over Lookback only; 0 means all.

The counts differ from another chart. They cover this chart's tickets on its loaded bars. They are not a backtest, and they are not a win probability. They take no account of spread, slippage or commission. On a deep chart older tickets were drawn before the 3,000-bar cluster window starts, so they ran without clusters.

10. Frequently Asked Questions

Does it repaint? Signals and session ranges do not change after their bar closes, with Confirm on bar close on. A new calculation can differ, because Bars To Calculate and Lookback set where history starts.

11. Support

Ask in the Comments (Discussion) section of the product's page on mql5.com. Give the platform and build, the symbol and timeframe, your broker, the inputs you changed, a screenshot, and the lines of the Experts and Journal tabs from that time.

12. Version History

  • 1.00: first release for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.
