Thank you for choosing GodTier Phalanx AI. This guide covers version 1.07 (shown as 1.7 on the Market): installing the EA, the settings most traders need, the new risk meter, reading the panel, and the questions we get most often. A Thai quick start is at the end (ภาษาไทยอยู่ท้ายบทความ).

New in 1.07: (1) Lot sync - when you change a lot setting, resting PLS, DRB and LQB orders are deleted and placed again at the new lot within one M15 bar (before, old orders kept the old lot until they expired or filled); open trades keep their lot; input "Lot sync", on by default. (2) The DRB stop is now 3.0 instead of 5.0 (price): tested DRB alone at 0.01 lot on real ticks in 2010-13, 2015-20 and 2021-26, the profit factor was higher in all three and the equity drawdown about 40 % lower. Everything else trades as 1.06.

New in 1.06: a sixth engine, the Liquidity Breakout (LQB), switched off by default - turn it on in group 1 (START HERE). It rests one stop order at the newest M15 swing level that no bar has closed beyond, on the side of the short trend, with a stop-loss on every trade and a profit lock from +0.18 %. Tested alone at 0.01 lot on real ticks: profit factor 1.09 (2010-13), 1.12 (2015-20), 1.17 (2021-26). With LQB off, 1.06 trades exactly as 1.05. If you turn it on, check the risk meter: it includes LQB.

New in 1.05 (no trading rule changed - with the same inputs 1.05 repeats 1.04 trade for trade):

  • Auto by balance is the new default lot: 0.01 lot per 6,800 USD of balance, never below 0.01, for every engine. PLS now trades on small accounts too.
  • Risk meter on the panel and in the Experts log: how far your lots fell in our 2010-2026 backtests, at today's gold price, in USD and % of your balance.
  • Input group 1 is now START HERE, with plain engine names. Old .set files still load.
  • A panel row shows other trades on XAUUSD (manual or another EA); the EA does not manage or count them.
  • The EA keeps a CSV of its own deals in MQL5/Files (no account number), for comparing live trading with the Strategy Tester.

1. Before you start

  • Symbol and chart: XAUUSD (gold, 100 oz per lot), M15 chart. One chart per account.
  • Account: hedging account in USD. On a netting account only the AI engine trades.
  • Broker clock: GMT+2 in winter / GMT+3 in summer (New York close), as on most MT5 brokers.
  • Broker orders: stop orders with a stop-loss and take-profit must be allowed.
  • Deposit: 4,000 USD or more for all five engines at 0.01 lot with a LOW risk meter (section 4).
  • VPS: recommended, running 24/5. Keep only one copy running (terminal or VPS), never both on the same account.

2. Install and attach

  1. In MetaTrader 5 open Navigator > Expert Advisors > Market and find GodTier Phalanx AI (bought on the website? log in first: Tools > Options > Community).
  2. Open an XAUUSD M15 chart and drag the EA onto it.
  3. Common tab: tick Allow Algo Trading. Inputs tab: group 1 (section 3). Press OK.
  4. The Algo Trading button on the toolbar must be green; the panel badge should say running.
  5. Check the Risk meter row on the panel (section 4).

3. START HERE (input group 1)

  • Risk / lot size: Auto by balance (default, recommended) - 0.01 lot per 6,800 USD, never below 0.01. Low / Moderate / Medium / High - 0.01 lot per 6,800 / 4,600 / 3,400 / 2,800 USD. Fixed lot - the lot in group 2. Auto by risk % - each engine's own risk %; PLS waits until about 6,400 USD. By balance - for older .set files.
  • Account stop: max drop from the peak (%): default 30. If equity falls this far below its peak, the EA closes all its positions, deletes its orders and stops until you reload it. 0 = off.
  • AI trading preset: SAFE (default, the only preset in our published tests). GROWTH, GROWTH+ and BEAST trade the AI more aggressively.
  • Engine switches: AI neural + XGBoost (AI), Pivot levels (PLS), Yesterday's range breakout (DRB), Swing level breakout (SLB), Swing pivot breakout (SPB), Liquidity breakout (LQB, off by default).

4. The risk meter - which setting for my balance?

The meter takes the lots you set and replays the weekly results of our 2010-2013, 2015-2020 and 2021-2026 backtests (AI, PLS and SLB scaled to today's gold price) and shows the worst drop: LOW under 25 % of the balance, MEDIUM 25-50 %, HIGH above 50 % (one alert at start; it never blocks trading). If the figure is above your account stop, the log says so: a drawdown like the tests' worst would trigger the stop. It is a stress figure from the tests, not a limit - a future drawdown can be larger.

At a 4,000 USD gold price and 0.01 lot the meter reads about:

  • All five engines: 990 USD - LOW from about 4,000 USD, HIGH below about 2,000 USD (above the 30 % account stop below about 3,300 USD)
  • AI only 610 / PLS only 930 / DRB only 220 / SLB only 190 / SPB only 100 USD

Suggestion: 4,000 USD and up - Auto by balance. 2,000-4,000 USD - Auto by balance (0.01 lot) with a MEDIUM meter, or switch off PLS or the AI to bring it down. Under 2,000 USD - run DRB, SLB and SPB only (meter LOW from about 900 / 800 / 400 USD each).

5. A different lot per engine (group 2)

Set Risk / lot size = Fixed lot, then Fixed lot: AI / PLS / DRB / SLB / SPB only (0 = the main fixed lot). The risk meter shows the result of your mix at once. Keep the engines roughly in proportion; a large DRB lot added more drawdown than profit in our tests. PLS's 2.81 % open-risk cap applies in every mode.

6. The five engines and their magic numbers

  • AI (911001): LSTM + XGBoost on M15, one position at a time; ATR stop and target, trailing, daily loss limit.
  • PLS (911011-911018): eight stop-order strategies at D1 / H4 / H1 swing levels; stop on every order.
  • DRB (911021): stop orders beyond the previous day's range; stop 5.0.
  • SPB (911022): near H1 swing highs / lows; stop 15.0, profit lock.
  • SLB (911031): breaks of swing levels; stop 0.30 x daily ATR; lock: at +0.3 % the stop moves to entry, target at most 0.5 %.
  • LQB (911041, off by default): stop order at the newest M15 11/11 swing level not closed through, side by the short trend; stop at the opposite level (max 0.78 %), target 1.56 %, lock from +0.18 %.

DRB and SPB skip NFP and FOMC days. Every trade has a stop-loss; no martingale, grid or averaging down.

7. Reading the panel

  • One card per engine: state, closed profit for TODAY / WEEK / MONTH / ALL, its lot, open P/L.
  • Badge on top: running, market closed, Algo Trading off, account stop hit, offline, wrong chart, all engines off.
  • TOTAL, the account stop row, the risk meter row, and (if any) other trades on the symbol.
  • The panel only reads; it never changes an order.

8. Frequently asked questions

Nothing trades. Check Algo Trading is green, the chart is XAUUSD M15, the badge says running, the market is open. Some engines trade only a few times a week.

The risk meter is HIGH. Lower the lot, switch off an engine (PLS and the AI carry the largest drops) or add balance. The meter updates within a minute.

Do my old settings still work? Yes, .set files of every earlier version load; input names did not change. Only the default of Risk / lot size changed (Auto by balance).

Other EAs? Yes; its magic numbers are its own and its account stop leaves other EAs' orders alone. With Gold GodTier 90.08 switch the AI off in one of them.
