Not another "AI" gold robot

The Market is full of gold Expert Advisors with "AI" in the name. Open most of them up and you find the same three things: an indicator crossover, a grid that keeps adding trades while price runs against it, or a martingale that doubles the lot after every loss. They look flawless in a backtest, right up to the day they don't.

Classic Lunar Surfer MT5 was built the other way round. It is not a chatbot that trades, and it is not a handful of indicators with a new label. It is a purpose-built quantitative engine for gold (XAUUSD): one model, one decision at a time, and a real stop loss on every position.

It doesn't chase gold. It waits for it.

Most robots try to predict where gold will go next. Classic Lunar Surfer asks a different question: has gold moved out of balance?

On every new minute the engine recalibrates its model and measures how far gold has drifted from where that model says it belongs. Most of the time the answer is "not far enough", and the EA does nothing at all. It acts only when three things line up:

  • gold has stretched further than its own model can justify,
  • the market is calm enough for that stretch to mean something,
  • and conditions are clean, not a hectic session or a news spike.

When gold turns wild, Classic Lunar Surfer steps aside. That patience is the strategy.

What sets it apart

What you usually get What you get with Classic Lunar Surfer MT5
Indicator crossovers dressed up as "AI" A proprietary quantitative model that recalibrates every minute
Grids, averaging and martingale One position at a time. No grid, no martingale, no averaging, no lot increase after a loss
Hidden "virtual" stops, or no stop at all A real stop loss on the broker's server from the moment the trade opens
Fixed stops that ignore volatility An adaptive stop sized from current volatility, never wider than 400 pips
Trades every session and every spike Trades only in calm conditions and pauses around high-impact news
New set files to optimise every week A sealed engine: nothing to optimise

Discipline built in

  • One trade at a time. No stacking, no hedging tricks, no exposure you can't see.
  • A real stop loss, always. Adaptive, sized from current volatility and capped at 400 pips, or a fixed stop if you prefer.
  • Money guard. A second layer of protection if price jumps past the stop.
  • Smart exits. A profit target, with an earlier exit once part of the target is already banked.
  • News filter. Uses MetaTrader 5's built-in economic calendar (high, or high and medium impact) with a pause before and after each release. Upcoming news is drawn on the chart with a countdown on the dashboard.
  • Calm-market filter. The engine measures market conditions before every entry and stays out when gold becomes hectic.
  • Clean dashboard. Status, today's and total results, open position, stop distance, next news, spread and server time at a glance.

Simple to run

  • Attach it to one gold chart: any timeframe, any broker suffix (XAUUSD, XAUUSD.m, XAUUSDm, GOLD).
  • Choose a fixed lot, or a lot step per balance (for example 0.01 lot for every 1,000 USD).
  • Recommended: a low-spread raw or ECN account, leverage 1:100 or higher, and a VPS.
  • Works on hedging and netting accounts, and runs alongside other EAs on its own magic number.

Full requirements and every setting are listed on the product page.

Watch it trade live
