Dawnbreak trades one breakout per day with pending stop orders. That makes three broker properties matter more than anything else:
- Execution of stop orders at the range edge – slippage on the fill directly changes the risk of the trade.
- Raw spreads plus commission – the stop loss sits at the opposite side of the range, so a wide spread at fill time eats into every trade.
- Pending orders with an expiry time – Dawnbreak needs them. A server time of UTC+2/UTC+3 matches the example set files without shifting.

What to check on any broker
- Server time: the set files assume UTC+2 in winter and UTC+3 in summer. If your broker differs, shift the range window and close time.
- Symbol names: DE40 may be GER40, gold may carry a suffix.
- Contract size of gold and indices – it changes the lot size Dawnbreak calculates.
- Run the set file in the Strategy Tester on your broker's data with "Every tick based on real ticks" before going live.
