One of the most common frustrations in multi-timeframe analysis is constant chart-switching. You're watching price action on the M15, you need context from the H1 or H4 — and before you know it, you've lost your place. HTF Candles Nika solves that problem cleanly.
What It Does
HTF Candles Nika is a free MetaTrader 5 indicator that overlays full higher-timeframe candles directly onto your current chart. Whether you're on a 5-minute chart and want H1 candles rendered right there in front of you, or analyzing M30 while keeping an eye on the daily structure — this indicator handles it without you switching charts.
Two Display Modes
The indicator supports two rendering modes:
- Candlestick mode — standard OHLC candles from the selected higher timeframe
- Heiken Ashi mode — smoothed Heiken Ashi candles calculated from HTF data, great for trend clarity
Both modes render candle bodies as filled rectangles with upper and lower wick lines, keeping the visual clean and uncluttered.
The Countdown Timer
A feature that stands out immediately is the live countdown timer — a label on the chart that updates every second, showing exactly how much time remains before the current HTF candle closes. If you trade candle closes or entries based on HTF confirmation, this alone makes the tool worth having open.
Fully Configurable
Nothing is hardcoded. You control the higher timeframe, candle width (auto or manual, 1–6), colors for bullish and bearish candles, wick width, font, font size, and text offsets. It also automatically detects session gaps and adjusts rendering accordingly — a detail that matters on instruments like indices or commodities.
Technical Notes
- Works on any symbol and any timeframe combination (HTF must be >= current chart TF)
- Uses chart objects only — no indicator buffers, keeping it lightweight
- Native chart candles are suppressed while the indicator is active to avoid overlap, and restored automatically on removal
