Swiss franc rises after data on trade balance

On Thursday the Swiss currency traded higher after official data showed that Switzerland’s trade balance rose more-than-expected last month.

The Federal Statistical Office reported that Swiss Trade Balance rose to a seasonally adjusted 4.156B, from 3.250B in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 3.047B. Economists had expected Swiss Trade Balance to rise to 3.400B last month.

USD/CHF was last trading down 0.24% at 1.0176.

EUR/CHF was last seen at 1.0875, up 0.04%.
