CVD Bubbles RealTime — Order flow, absorption and CVD divergences
CVD Bubbles RealTime reads tick data and builds a real-time view of order flow:
a cumulative delta (CVD) candle chart in a sub-window, volume bubbles on the
price chart, absorption detection and CVD/price divergences.
MAIN FEATURES
1) CVD candles (sub-window)
- Cumulative Volume Delta drawn as candles: open = previous close, with real
intrabar highs/lows on the live bar.
- Green = buyers dominate, red = sellers dominate, yellow = absorption.
- Optional daily reset of the cumulative value.
- Display mode: show everything, or only absorption bars.
- History rebuilt from ticks, updated on every tick on the current bar.
2) Volume bubbles (price chart)
- One bubble per bar, centered on the bar's tick range.
- Size = bar volume relative to its recent average (scaled by ATR).
- Color = net delta strength (strong / weak, buy / sell).
- Yellow thick outline when absorption is detected.
3) Absorption detection
- Triggers when volume is high while the price range stays small (fraction of ATR).
- Volume condition: ratio vs moving average, absolute threshold per session
(Asia / London / New York, server-time hours are configurable), or either.
- Optional fixed-time window detection (e.g. last 10 seconds), independent of
the chart timeframe, marked with a horizontal line on the price chart.
- Pop-up alerts.
4) CVD / price divergences
- Regular divergences (reversal) and hidden divergences (continuation),
both bullish and bearish.
- Pivots detected on the CVD, with configurable left/right bars and min/max
distance between the two pivots.
- Lines drawn on the CVD window and on the price chart, with alerts.
- A divergence is confirmed only after the right-side pivot bars are closed.
- Comparison limited to the same day when the daily reset is active.
VOLUME MODES (input: UseTickVolume)
- Tick volume (default, true): each tick counts as 1. Works on any broker,
including forex/CFD symbols without real volume. Buy/sell direction comes from
the feed flags when they are reliable, otherwise from the tick rule
(price up = buy, price down = sell, unchanged = previous direction).
- Real volume (false): uses the real traded volume of each tick (volume_real).
Recommended on exchange feeds such as futures (CME/COMEX), where trade
flags and volumes are available.
IMPORTANT: tick volume is less reliable than real volume. It counts price
updates, not traded contracts, and its value depends on the broker's feed.
The delta is therefore an approximation, and absorption and divergence signals
can differ between brokers. Use real volume whenever your data feed provides it.
REQUIREMENTS AND NOTES
- Tick history must be available for the symbol (the indicator reads ticks).
If bars are empty, download tick history in MT5 (Symbols > Ticks).
- Session thresholds use broker server time: adjust the hours to your broker.
- Absolute thresholds are expressed in ticks or contracts depending on the
volume mode: adjust them to your symbol and timeframe.
- MaxBarsBack (default 300) controls how much history is rebuilt; a lower
value is faster.
